Brickbat: On a Clear Day, You Can See Forever

The Chinese government has told local officials to stop issuing smog alerts. Officials say the move is designed to end discrepancies between the information issued by local meteorological offices and that released by the environmental protection ministry.

Huzzah! Greenies are NIMBYists at heart. They don't give a crap about what's happening outside of their purview.
It's vexing to say the least, why the anticapitalist antifa fuckwads aren't engaging in riots, property damage, and assaults in Shanghai or Beijing. I wonder why that is.
Because Trump wasn't elected there without a popular vote. That's why.
Once you understand their principles it all makes sense.
Would it have killed them to post a picture of the lake itself?
China is #1 !!!!!!
They aren't going to live long - but they may prosper.
Fuck you, TAIWAN NUMBAH ONE.
It's like the Chinese don't believe in states' rights at all.
Confucius say he who choke on smog and lie won't choke on noose in Shanghai.
+1 He Who Denied It Supplied It.
OMG! China has a Trump in charge of their EPA too???
And this is the country that's supposed to beat America, sell latex and rule the world?
I don't think so.
Um, *cough* climate change?
If there's a discrepancy between what the locals report and what the state reports, doesn't that raise the question as to where the state is getting its data from and where the locals are getting theirs? You'd think that the state data would be an amalgamation of what the locals are reporting. Are they using two different sets of measuring instruments? Or maybe there are differences in what the state and the locals consider the threshold for issuing smog alerts? Or maybe one or the other is lying about the data? Maybe the Chinese government has some sort of incentive to make stuff up that other governments - like ours, for example - don't have?
I wonder if our government "agencies" and "departments" were called "ministries" instead ....... would that wake up the statists at all? "Ministry" sounds a bit more menacing to my ears.
How about satrapies?
Ministries tend to lack agency.
I wonder if you could convince Trump to get them to change the Department of Defense back to the Department of War.
"Defense is so beta and weak, we want to be pro-active, like war!"
