Who Would Star in '2016: The Movie'? Anthony L. Fisher Discusses on Federalist Radio Hour
Ben Domenech and I talked politics, journalism, filmmaking, and how to work in all three.

When the definitive film depicting the 2016 presidential election is made, casting directors are going to have quite the task in finding actors to portray Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and all the other major players of the campaign without them coming off as Saturday Night Live-style caricatures.
On The Federalist Radio Hour, host Ben Domenech and I mused about the casting and content of this speculative 2016 movie, as well as other topics pertaining to both filmmaking and politics.
Domenech and I also discussed the creative process that led to the making of Sidewalk Traffic, the comedy-drama feature film I wrote and directed which will be released on all major streaming services in February 2017.

I wouldn't watch that movie but I reckon they'd make Hilary attractive somehow, revisionist history etc.
The show is called Madame Secretary.
I hear Trump is interviewing replacements for Tea Leoni.
2016, starring Jennifer Aniston as Hillary Clinton.
Academy Award nomination for Best Actress sure to follow.
Looks like a project for Steven Soderbergh.
So just figure out how Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Michael Douglas can play all of the roles.
Michael Bay has a sad.
Maybe if Trump starts WW3. As it is, not enough EXPLOSIONS!
If Woody Allen makes it? Tony Roberts, Diane Keaton, Alan Alda, and Dianne Weist.
Wes Anderson? Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray.
Kevin Smith? Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Lee, and Jason Mewes.
Every indie made in the mid-90's? Campbell Scott, Parker Posey, Liev Schrieber, and Hope Davis.
Silvio Berlosconi (sp?) can play Donald Trump.
Margaret Hamilton can play Hillary.
To play the mainstream media, just send a talent scout to get some brainless mediocrities with good hair...wait, the MSM did that already.
I can't think of someone to play Gary Johnson, but Benedict Arnold can play Weld.
Alternate joke: "Trump played the mainstream media before, maybe he can play them in the movie?"
I can't think of someone to play Gary Johnson
Gary Johnson will be portrayed by a life sized muppet operated and voiced by Frank Oz.
Likely casting:
Donald Trump - Danny DeVito (not much resemblance, but Hollywood is going to make Trump as ugly as possible)
Hillary Clinton - Diane Keaton
Vladimir Putin - James Woods
Bernie Sanders - Christopher Lloyd

I can't wait to make unnecessarily snarky comments about it!
How many times did you yell "Damn it, Hirschberg!," at Samm Levine?
Keir Dullea is a bit old, and Roy Scheider is a bit dead, for either of them to be convincing in a third installment.
And starring Michelle Obama as Harambe.
Trump will be a voiced role, every time he's on screen he'll be foregrounded in the shot as a yuge, literally larger-than-the screen character so you'll never see his face.
For the role of Year 2016 itself, I nominate Dennis Rodman.
When George W was in, Hollywood came out with a movie and two tv shows. Twenty five years later and no Clinton movie and they supplied everything but the laugh track.
Donald Trump: Alec Baldwin
Hillary Clinton: Kathy Bates
Elizabeth Warren: Diane Keaton
