It's Election Day, Trump Loses Nevada Lawsuit, Clinton Ready to Claim the Iron Throne: P.M. Links

- Election Day is here, R'hllor save us.
- Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton cast their votes—presumably, for themselves. But you never know.
- Trump loses lawsuit against Nevada over the state's early voting procedures, which he claims benefited Clinton.
- FiveThirtyEight: A lot of things could happen, but probably Clinton will win.
- I'm still skeptical that there's actual data to support the idea of a "Trump effect" on school bullying.
- James O'Keefe, in search of nonexistent voter fraud, might be breaking the law himself.
- Here's my Electoral College prediction. I also made a $10 bet that Trump will get more than 200 Electoral Votes.

OH. MY. GOD.
Instead of Evil (R) or Evil (D), we could have had this:

Hello.
Make this good. I'm shopping for a watch box.
Canadian masturbation euphemisms are so weird.
And polite. And very tidy.
Is that what they call the teevee in Canada?
Probably some relation to the guitar, and guitar nicknames...
That's a Stare box.
God Americans.
Yes, we Americans are your God.
How about this Harris Tweed herringbone watch roll?
Lovely. A little out of the range I wanted to pay.
No, I'm not going to make this good. America loses.
NO SPOILERS
What? New NASCAR rules?
He's anti-ricer.
I feel at peace. I got Bob Marley singing down to me from heaven. He says this blue jewel named Earth is going to keep on spinning bae.
I voted Gary Johnson and it feels good man ? come on down boys, the water is just fine.
You said it, mang. Pass the dutchie.
+ left hand side
'Member Musical Youth? Ah, the 80s.
/Member Berries.
I voted Johnson. There was a Libertarian in the US Senate race, so I voted L there, too. Republicans for the state legislature to try to keep a brake on Cuomo, since those races had no Libertarians. Write-in votes in the judicial races.
I voted for GJ and the Libertarian running against Tim Scott. Everything else was uncontested. What's with everyone taking their children with them to the polls this time?
Taking one's children to the polls is at least as old as the 1980s? my parents took me and my brothers.
They want their kids to know they are heroes for furthering this corrupt, crony-ridden system.
So, the guy I voted for in the Senate race has this to say about the police:
"A free America where "Law Enforcement Road Pirates" can't illegally search and seize our family's cars and bank accounts on the highways."
I, too Felt The Johnson. Also voted (L) candidates for Senate & US House. Wrote in a friend for State House, voted for an independent candidate for Sheriff (why is that a partisan office?). And "no" on all judges up for a retention vote.
That's pretty much what I did, but in FL races. I actually got 3 Ls and then a few Rs after that. I voted to allow medical marijuana and left the rest blank because I didn't make time to research the minor judges and whatnot properly.
We only had one ballot question, about moving family court to a site actually owned by the county rather then one that I think is being rented from the state, or something.
Proud of you all. I'm not convinced Reason writers stuck to their principles.
They have those things?
I voted Johnson. Voted L for both house and senate.
Voted against our incumbent sheriff because a group of officers tasered a 20 year old to death in our county jail either this year. All the officers were found innocent of any wrong doing. I voted for a D running against him.
Voted yes on a really restrictive medical MJ ballot measure. It's a pretty Shitty law, but hell, it's a step in the right direction.
I felt the Johnson but I wanted to feel the Libertarian in other races. But, alas, only choice is Democratic.
Robby is on time with the links.
OH. MY. GOD.
Armageddon confirmed.
"James O'Keefe, in search of nonexistent voter fraud, might be breaking the law himself."
Robby might be on time, but he is a sack of fucking shit. No, no voter fraud at all.......
http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com.....-to-polls/
Here's my Electoral College prediction.
Soave, do you ever not post about college?
Gold, Fist. Just gold.
Wonderful.
[golf clap]
Your mom posts about college!
*thumbs up*
He must be in serious debt between college and that hair.
James O'Keefe, in search of nonexistent voter fraud, might be breaking the law himself.
Yep. Nothing to see here. Voter fraud is the biggest myth that ever mythed.
Indiana voter registration fraud
State police searched the headquarters of the Indiana Voter Registration Project, an offshoot of Patriot Majority U.S.A., founded in 2005 by a former Democratic Party strategist. During the raid last month, financial records, personal files and cell phones were seized, with authorities saying: "Numerous employees of The Indiana Voter Registration Project have fabricated and forged multiple voter registrations applications for voters who reside in Lake, Madison, Hamilton, Marion Hendricks, Hancock and Johnson Counties
Yeah, they are kicking the Republican monitors out of Philadelphia polling stations just for funsies.
God, you Trumpkins, nothing is ever good enough for you. They try and give you a day off, and you bitch about it!
Yeah, like Keyzer Soze is just a myth and spook story that criminals tell their kids at night.
*knocks ring twice on table*
Richmond, Virginia: Voter given ballot pre-marked for mayoral candidate, other assorted dirty tricks. Also, Virginia voter fraud roundup.
It's not fraud if dead people do it. How you gonna prosecute 'em?
"CBS2 Investigation Uncovers Votes Being Cast From Grave Year After Year
"He took a lot of time choosing his candidates," said Annette Givans of her father, John Cenkner.
Cenkner died in Palmdale in 2003. Despite this, records show that he somehow voted from the grave in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010.
"
I'm still skeptical that there's actual data to support the idea of a "Trump effect" on school bullying.
"Bullying" has been redefined to include "mentioning Donald Trump."
"Trump 2016" is actual violence.
Clearly it's Terrorism under the PATRIOT act.
A lot of things could happen, but probably Clinton will win.
REASON IS WITH HER. You knew it.
Reason is with her, but reason is not with her.
UBC student has gun 'accidentally' delivered to residence
Cue freaking out:
Unfathomable, except for guys in special costumes I guess.
I hate this country.
Is "unfathomable" another one of those words that means something different in Commonwealth countries?
Well, of course. Special campus settings for guns, they mind control their users into going on shooting sprees.
WHY DO YOU NEED A GUN?!
AND SO MANY FLAVORS OF TIMBUTTS!
Timbutts? I'm guessing intentional typo here, Count?
No. ON PURPOSE. I contacted Tim Hortons with that idea for a name change.
I haven't gotten a response yet.
+5 for fighting
No it's when you smash two of them together. Also known as bit-tits.
The Rest of Canada folks.
I can't help the fact that I was raised in redneck country where the local hangout is leaning on your truck in the Tim Hortons parking lot until the bars open Rufus, I just can't!
*Runs away crying*
FiveThirtyEight: A lot of things could happen
Gee, aren't you helpful, FiveThirtyEight.
So far most people are predicting that the following scenarios are most likely to occur:
1) Trump wins by a lot
2) Trump wins by a small margin
3) Clinton wind by a small margin
4) Clinton wins by a lot
Wait a minute, you left off "5) Garry Johnson upset."
...
Oh...
He's way to chill to be upset about anything. Other than Guardian hacks, but who can blame him?
Ahahaha
Gary Johnson: "what's an upset?"
Dood... [coughs]
Is that in order?
I'm still skeptical that there's actual data to support the idea of a "Trump effect" on school bullying.
It won't matter in a few hours.
THIS is how you rig elections:
U.S. expresses concern over Nicaragua's 'flawed' election
Third? Are the terms in Nicaragua 12 years long? That asshat has been around forever.
Well at least Politico is having a shitty day.
What happened? DDoS attack?
I was being literal for once.
That is hilarious.
I'm feeling content right now.
Not incontinent?
My guess: the editor flushed Glenn Thrush's latest column.
More like a DooDooS attack, amirite?
Right as rain, except that ain't rain.
I also made a $10 bet that Trump will get more than 200 Electoral Votes.
Good luck getting it from Palin's Buttplug.
Because today is special, I'm awarding a second [golf clap]
Easy money.
Enough with the euphemisms!
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!
What you did, I sees it.
It's come to the point where I refuse to click on anything from the WaPo. They might as well be Everyday Feminism.
*adds WaPo to daily derp hunt list*
If half their articles were in comic form (while still going on and on), it'd probably improve the paper.
Someone was trolling the comments on CNN.
This just in: Democrats pull ahead in early voting, Republicans expected to catch up after they get off work.
Nice.
Have the deceased voters been polled yet?
Who do you think was doing all that early voting?
They will be late.
Have the deceased voters been palled yet?
They have six supporters bearing them up.
And a bunch of candidates letting us all down.
That's a classic burn there.
Nice, but unoriginal. Been seeing that since 2008.
You're unoriginal.
And a towel!
"I like it!"
Actually that's true. Women tend to vote earlier. John Kerry was leading in 2004 in the early voting then Bush pulled ahead later in the day. Same thing will happen today.
Holy shit. This just might be a repeat of 2004. Everyone expected/wanted Bush to lose. But there just wasn't any enthusiasm for Kerry, who was Bush's 3rd cousin Skull & Bones fellow anyway.
Is that like being Eskimo brothers?
No, they just go to the same masked orgies.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton cast their votes?presumably, for themselves. But you never know.
"You vote for me and I'll vote for you."
"tee-hee, ballot said 'Jonson'. How could I not?"
I thought you don't vote for dictators. They just assume power. This election is mighty confusing.
Donald asked Hillary to join him in pulling the lever together.
A sort of Dutch Rudder to show solidarity between the parties.
Civil War. =D
?James O'Keefe, in search of nonexistent voter fraud, might be breaking the law himself.
Seriously? This is how you choose to acknowledge everything he's been putting out over the past couple months?
I think Rico might be the actual worst.
Rico is woke. He can't help it.
Robby Horses, they must be ridden.
For the Sobby Horsers.
Now now, Robby's been reliably assured that voter fraud just doesn't happen. That so-called video with Scott Foval? Nothing. You can tell it was nothing because of the lack of coverage it got.
Rico believes anything Shaun King tells him.
so bae AF
And from Slate, of all sources. You know it's gotta be factual.
Robby runs on the logic that if repeats something enough as though it were fact, it becomes fact.
Seriously, we watch you people from up here flip out about how voter I.D. is racist and how fraud doesn't exist and just shake our heads.
Election night derp (spot the bias):
3 towns in New Hampshire voted at midnight. Results of the 66 votes cast: Trump 48%, Clinton 38%, Johnson 6%, Bernie 5%, Other 3%
In the smallest of the 3 towns, Dixville Notch, Clinton won 4 votes vs 2 for Donald and 1 for Gary.
What are the headlines?
WaPo: Clinton wins Dixville Notch
CNN: Clinton wins Dixville Notch midnight vote
KABC-TV: Tiny New Hampshire town casts first presidential votes, supporting Clinton
Politico: Clinton wins midnight Dixville Notch Vote
Daily Mail: First results come in Dixville Notch with Clinton claiming victory
Latin Times: Trump takes early lead after NH midnight voting (better get to the polls, all you latins)
Breitbart: Trump leads in NH midnight voting
If you announce that one candidate is winning does that invigorate or demoralize the opposing vote?
Damn Breitbart Trumpthuglikkkans!
Romney got a write-in vote in Dixville Notch. Don't hate on the Mittmentum!
He's in the 3% other, along with a joint Bernie/Kasich vote. Stein got 0%
How everyone who lives in Dixville Notch could resist voting for Johnson, that I'll never know.
"Libertarians take 14% of the vote in Dixville Notch!"
It's happening!
'Johnson inserts himself in Dixville Notch"
The 282 people, places and things Trump insulted on Twitter.
So.. Is the NYT trying to get Trump elected?
Skimming that list, the ones that caught my eye aren't insults but facts. Under Rand Paul, it says "failed presidential candidate," which is true. Under Hillary, "Crooked."
Only 18 more and he'll bowl a perfect game
This is gold -- damn I should've read this before I voted for GayJay:
Fortune Magazine:
"few people know that Fortune Magazine is still in business"
That should be bronzed and framed and given to Trump as a memento.
What's hilarious is the amount of sniveling "not nice" comments. For such a big bad alpha male someone seems to need the kid glove treatment.
Here's my Electoral College prediction. I also made a $10 bet that Trump will get more than 200 Electoral Votes.
"I just lost a bet...to myself."
That you wouldn't but upon seeing her/him/it in person you woulded?
Youre going to set my country music award on fire?
Next time bet yourself a hand job.
Risk-taker, heart-breaker.
Love-taker, don't you mess around with me.
I'm starting to get the feeling that Robby's not the biggest fan of O'Keefe's form of provocativ-journo-expose.
I am starting to feel that Robby is a breed of beltway douche bag. To think that voter fraud is nonexistent takes a special sort of beltway douche bag.
Voter Fraud happens even less often than false-rape accusations... and those are like sooper sooper rare.
Indeed. Which is why we must protect Jackie Coakley's identity at all costs.
She has the right to be believed!
beltway douche bag
Sez the resident DHS bureaucrat.
Yes, I know the beltway well. That is why I can spot the douche bags.
With a mirror?
Do you need a hug Sugar Free? Being butt hurt all of the time is not becoming. You have been pissed off and butt hurt for about the last year. I used to be worried about you. Now I just feel sorry for you. Get the fuck over it, whatever it is.
Your projection has been duly noted.
If you have lived inside the beltway ever since your first vote, and always vote Dem in a Dem precinct, how could you possible notice voter fraud?
Robby's jealous. His hair precludes him from ever going undercover to break a story.
*can't tell if trolling or just that stupid*
He is just that stupid. He really believes that.
No, not stupid, just an occupant of the cosmotarian/progressive echo chamber.
YAY GUN CONTROL
I hope Bloomberg loses another $14 million.
But in the long run, we gun owners will get outvoted if we don't expand our numbers by bringing new gun owners on board.
Heck, I even wrote a book about it. (https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B01MATZIL7/reasonmagazinea-20/
Voters in Washington state will consider allowing judges to bar dangerous people, such as accused domestic abusers, from possessing guns.
Emphasis on the WTF.
Punishment first, conviction later.
Isn't that what a restraining order is, in essence?
"The frightening effect of 'Trump Talk' on America's schools"
Shut.The.Fuck.Up.
Everything you want to freak out over is "frightening", "troubling" or "problematic".
Tired of all these manufactured moral crises.
Amen!
But how can we be sure that the frightening effect wasn't actually the result of the latest global warming hockey stick tipping-point?
I'm about to head to the polling station.
I live in a state that's bluer than a Buddhist monk's balls, so my vote makes no difference. Still, I'm going.
Damn, you have a way with words.
+ $20 whore
Ditto!
Nicely done.
I used "Ditto" earlier yet left out the Mr. Lamarr reference, so my (typically) vague reference went unnoticed.
Dittoheads!
Ugh!
There's always other things to vote on
NO ON EVERYTHING
Exactly
Exactly
Yeah, those were my thoughts going in this morning. A vote for Trump would have zero impact in Jersey, so I felt more comfortable with picking Johnson -- I went Republican for the rest of the ballot.
I do wonder if I should have gone with Lawrence Berling (Constitution) instead of Tom MacArthur for the House.
In Minnesota I totally voted for someone running for state rep on the Legal Marijuana Now party ticket. So easy it's sleazy.
A guy I worked with said he was went to the polls at 7:30 this morning and couldn't get in. The lines were too long. He said he'd try this evening after work. He's trying really hard to vote. I was like, dude, this is Maryland. Your vote doesn't count. Stop trying so hard.
Yeah, FiveThirtyEight says Hillary is more than 99.9% likely to win Maryland. So I voted for Johnson, just to make myself feel better.
Judge tells neighbors trying to shut down neighbor's hobby garage via code enforcement to get fucked.
We need more judges like that.
Watch the youtube video. The complainants look exactly what I visualized they would be.
That doesn't look like a "hobby garage."
That looks like something that has air tools running all day in a residential neighborhood.
Not cool.
If you take that map and flip NC, which is pretty good bet is going to Trump from everything I can tell and then throw in throw in any two of Nevada, Colorado, NM and Michigan, Trump wins. Suddenly Hillary's path to victory looks pretty tight and is flat out non-existent if she doesn't win PA.
She will win PA. The Democrats excel at making the big cities dependent on them. Their vote-farms are pretty impressive.
It's like voting to stay in the Matrix
I won't be shocked either way, but I expect Clinton.
Same here.
Hillary had a 20pt. lead over Bernie in the last poll before the Michigan primary and lost. I'd keep an eye on that state.
She was campaigning yesterday in Michigan. So, her internal polling must show it is at least close or otherwise she would not have gone there.
Wait, Hillary was there? All I heard about Michigan was how the desperate and reckless Trump had a last minute stop there
/ Prog
I made a bet for a bottle of fine alcohol that Clinton would win. I expect I'll be enjoying a nice bottle of Scotch soon enough. Maybe Bowmore
Just threw vote away. Now have beer.
They could call it "Club Depressing"
The edibles are kicking in. =D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqPClltS5k8
Maybe it's the kind I've had, but when I eat something made with weed butter or weed oil it just puts me to sleep. I get really stoned and then can't keep my eyes open and have to go to bed.
Weed is like Meth to me. =D
Ah, election day, the only day of the year Steve Smith is allowed within 1000 ft of a school.
You'd think they'd have learned after the 2010 midterms, when they found the voting machine lying in a heap, ejaculate oozing from every seam.
STEVE SMITH TAKE BALLOT SELFIE! GIVE STEVE SMITH PHONE NUMBER AND STEVER SMITH SEND IT TO YOU!
STEVE SMITH is the only voter whose acceptable form of Voter ID is a DNA specimen.
When I left my polling place the morning there were two poll workers standing behind my truck obscuring my "Libertarian" and "Johnson 2016" bumper stickers. I was tempted to go back later to see if any Trump stickers got the same treatment but meh. I seriously doubt anyone is going to change their vote based on a bumper sticker they saw in the parking lot.
You're lucky they didn't arrest you for electioneering!!
Do we have any updates on who TayTay voted for? I heard she might be a Trump backer, in which case she must be unpersoned and we would need to purge from existence all evidence that she was ever popular. I can't listen to music, watch a movie, or otherwise entertain myself unless the entertainer is a goodthinker who 100% agrees with me on all things political.
Look at these pics of WJC supporting HRC by the arm as she casts her vote.
That's not just affection. That is keeping her upright, and it isn't just once. The woman is unwell.
HEP ME, BILL!
Huma looks like a Hot Topic praying mantis.
Lolz. If only she had devoured her mate, Hilary wouldn't have been pestered by the FBI flunkies for so long.
She looks like she knows who her boss is going to throw under the bus.
Elections only have consequences for little people. For Huma they just have phoney baloney jobs that pay hundreds of thousands of dollars.
It does appear that the half life of scandals is dwindling rapidly. Seems like you have to fight/dodge pesky questions and angry blog posts for about 4-5 days and then you can come back on stage like nothing happened.
The MSM just does such a good job smothering them. They spend all summer praising Comey, then ten days talking about him being a traitorous dog, and then a day acting like nothing happened.
We really need to get past this notion that people are simply misinformed about Clinton's misdeeds. No one is on the fence about her; the people that are behind her simply don't give a shit that she's a criminal, a con artist and a consummate cunt.
You are correct. In years past, "Grab 'em by the pussy" would have annihilated Trump's candidacy. The 24-hr news cycle and the internet kept this election close.
"Grab 'em by the pussy" is nothing compared to Aleppo.
Now there's something with staying power
I believe that pussygate lost 2-3 points for Trump.
His real mistake was not preparing for the first debate. He had a real chance to show HIldog for the phony pos she is, and he blew it by trying to wing it. Shame.
She looks ready to go to a funeral.
OH MY GOD.
IT BEGINS
Put on Roddy Piper's sunglasses from "They Live" and their true form is revealed.
The inch thick of makeup still couldn't cover those wrinkles. Every closeup is terribly unflattering.
That picture of Huma Abadin with those sunglasses really makes her look like an evil sidekick/enforcer.
Poor woman was already dealt an unusually pronounced (and not terribly pretty) lip muscle, and the amount of jaw clenching she has had to endure over the last 6 years has only made it more mighty and now the dominant feature of her face.
6 years? She has been doing down on Hillary for longer than that.
Not good if you're pleasuring your man.... Oh, wait...
I meant more in living with her husband's scandals, and papering over hillary's missteps, as in MUST...CONTROL...FIST...OF...DEATH.
Bu you guys knew that.
Neither here nor there, but I was watching bits of the movie "Falling Down" the other day, and it stuck me as the perfect movie for Trump Supporters.
If you just put in some sad-trombone sound effects, and yaketty-sax bits, it would make a great comedy picture.
But Trump supporters are never violent. They are God's perfect little white angels.
Except for all of those riots that went on outside Hillary rallies. You remember those don't you? You know the ones where people were waving Mexican flags and burning cars and shit?
The Tu Quoque Machine is up to speed, gentlemen.
Foval.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KICIOYlZTr8
=D
Democrats being shitbags doesn't clear the GOP of being shitbags. It just makes them both shitbags.
Oh so the greater shitbags are okay with you. Mr. Grimley. =D
I just going to call you diabetic Tony. =D
Wait, hold it, those were not Trump voters? So was the old man who punched the guy a Trump supporter or was that at a Hillary rally?
One campaign had riots where people burned shit. The other campaign had one old guy who punched someone. I assumed the rioting was Trump and the old guy was Hillary.
Am I wrong?
Some old guy punching someone is pretty fucking horrible. You are right about that. I mean that is right out of Krystal nacht or the cultural revolution.
Hey, remember all the times we all made fun of shrike going B-B-B-BUT BUSH?!?
You are right. An old guy punching someone is bad. What else do you want me to say? Were there other examples of violence by Trump supporters I missed?
You tell me. I told you that the guy doing it was bad. It was probably one of the lowest moments in the history of American politics. Everyone should have been sickened by it. There should have been a lot more arrests over it than there were. Clearly.
Now, what about the other violence that no doubt occurred and was covered up by the ridiculously sympathetic media. Do tell.
Because I approve of anti-Trump violence. I mean, of course I do.
I don't think you approve of anti-Trump violence. Why would I think that. I think you are rightfully angry and concerned over the unbelievable crime that occurred at that Trump rally. I am just asking you to tell me about all the other violence at Trump rallies that I have apparently missed.
I said they were God's perfect little white angels. It was Gilmore that compared them to a guy on a murderous rampage with stolen automatic weapons.
Well clearly they are not. We all know about that horrible event with the old man. I am sure there are hundreds of examples like that. Right?
There may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience. So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell? I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise. It won't be so much 'cause the courts agree with us too.
Classy. So classy.
For the record, i was suggesting that an musically-overdubbed version of the movie "Falling Down" would make a great parody of the media's notion of the "Angry Trump supporter"
the linked clip i think provides a good example of how it works
I draw a line at voter fraud, media collusion, and political violence.
As far as I know Trump has run a clean CamPain. And Bill Weldn stabbed Gary Johnson in the back.
I do have principles.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyTCtbYNzRg
Is pay for play over the line? Espionage? Obstruction of justice? Conspiracy to commit the previous?
Nonsense. why, just last week they burned down a negro church. And left their cards.
"Phone number in the other one!"
You're Nick in the surplus store.
i am neither homophobic, nor rude to customers.
"Oh, I know! I know all about it!"
Still love that movie.
538 has for once and interesting take. They say "probably" because they are starting to suspect the electorate is going to be different than it has been and the polls may be flawed. Good for Silver for recognizing that because there is a considerable amount of evidence that might be true.
CYA
I also enjoyed the twitter exchange between the lefty sites saying anything over a 2% chance was irresponsible.
It's like when Nixon destroyed McGovern and a media guy said "I don't know a single person who voted for Nixon", even though Nixon won 49 states.
It is total CYA. and the huffpost guy who went after Silver is fucking retarded. My God that guy is stupid.
isn't that every huffpo writer?
Huffpo reader: "Hey, you forgot us!"
That "media guy" was film critic Pauline Kael.
Does it reveal innumeracy for the Dems to go ape shit when he gives Trump a 1/3 chance?
Is today the election?!
Nope, it's on December 19th. Today is the semi-finals.
It's "an" election.
From Hayekexplosives' link, let's play a game of caption this
Crusty says: "would".
Hillary proves that sufficient doses of Carbamazepine can indeed make a person high as a kite.
"Thank you, GOP. Thank you."
Miss congeniality GIF practicing the emotional acceptance speech
And the same in the context of the 1 min Youtube clip.
Not a caption, but, damn, how many different colors of teeth does that bat have?
Diversity!
'Clinton' is a c-word.
"We finally have 101st puppy."
too much! 🙂
Thank you, Reasonoids, for all the humor you are deploying to help me and the rest of us get through tonight and, indeed, through to the end of our republic.
get through tonight and, indeed, through to the end of our republic.
You already said "tonight".
I haz a sad. 🙁
through to the end of our republic.
Which can't come soon enough.
"Your children are scrumptious."
"Donald, that's not my pussy!"

"James O'Keefe, in search of nonexistent voter fraud, might be breaking the law himself."

What should we all take away from this Presidential Campaign?
Hate Speech is Rife In America
Sort of a retrospective look back at all the blown-out-of-proportion accusations of political hate-crimes, and 'make your own conclusion' musings that maybe the first amendment is an unfortunate impediment to a Better World.
Guest Starring the usual suspects, the SPLC, and lots of scary sounding 1-year statistics suggesting an 'explosion' of racial/ethnic/political animus. (*because when your base is "zero", anything at all is an explosion)
- no stats available on the growth in self-perpetuated-hate-crimes
I don't know a single person that voted for Trump.
I work for a rigging company that has a Union shop and they didn't vote for Her, a lot of them said they weren't voting.
I work for a rigging company that has a Union shop
SO IT IS RIGGED!
Teamsters, no less. Rigged it is. For two parties.
If you want one positive out of this whole affair it's this: this was the election that the masks came off. For everybody. Libertarians might be well aware of the Democrat's willingness to tolerate and excuse the absolute scumbaggery of their candidates, but this time it was so blatant and unrelenting that it will not go unnoticed amongst the plebs. Ditto for the mainstream media. People used to laugh and frame Fox News as horribly partisan while claiming CNN to be unbiased. No one in their right mind will argue that now, the mainstream media has openly exposed themselves for the hacks they are. Sanders fans are well aware of how fucked they were by their own party.
On the other side of the aisle, we've seen the populist wing of the Republicans come out in full force, and the figures that will support it (Coulter has gone full-on nativist). Meanwhile, the NeverTrumps show what other issues some Republicans find paramount. For some it's an actual identification with conservative values, while others are driven by a focus on things like social conservatism and America world police foreign policy.
And finally, libertarians themselves get a look into their own ranks. We get to see how poorly the LP can do in an election that can greatly benefit them. And more importantly, we got to see which libertarians will throw away any principles they have in order to vote for the anti-thesis of libertarian thought. Any libertarian who admitted to voting for Clinton, particularly It doesn't matter if it was peer pressure or some misguided belief in stopping Trump, you voted for the opposite of everything libertarianism stands for. Don't vote, vote for Johnson, hell even vote for Stein. But you don't vote for the popular corrupt statist. You are unprincipled scum, and unworthy of respect, and your actions will be remembered.
*particularly under some nonsense pretext like "BUT TRUMP AND NUKES."
I love you John Titor. /in the voice of the red headed wildling hottie
Anyone who voted for Trump or Hillary is not a libertarian.
And with that remark, a bunch of old, white assholes in Alabama once again take umbrage with the commenter known as SugarFree.
Eh, relax.
I'm perfectly calm, I'm just stating the realities of their actions. I cannot respect anyone who would trumpet any ideology and then willingly support a candidate that represents the polar opposite. We constantly accuse each other of being fake libertarians, but throwing your lot in with a blatantly corrupt statist is the absolute deal breaker.
OK, Mr. Pure as the Driven Snow, did you pay taxes? How could you throw your lot in with a blatantly corrupt state?
At times pragmatism is necessary.
Ever play Chinese checkers? Sometimes the best move goes back a step or two in order to move forward overall.
But keep on pontificating from Mount Libertarius.
If I don't pay my taxes, violence is used against me. That's coercion. If I don't vote, unless I live in Australia, I suffer no violent consequences.
I can tolerate someone supporting something evil under threat of force. I can't support them doing so voluntarily. And then pathetically trying to justify their choice with moronic comments like "BUT TRUMP AND NUKES" (i.e. "I'm too stupid to actually understand American nuclear weapons policy").
Well said! Just to be clear, I mean it and am not being sarcastic. I especially agree with your point about Penn Jillette, et. al.
You are unprincipled scum, and unworthy of respect, and your actions will be remembered.
"The North (and John Titor) Remembers."
One of two things is going to happen as a result of this election. Either Trump will win and the media will be shown to be irrelevant because if they can't stop Trump what can they do or Hillary will win and the media will have sold their souls to get here there such that they will be forced to become even more ridiculous than they already are.
Either result won't be good for the media. So the upside of this whole thing is the media loses no matter what. And that is a pretty big upside when you think about it.
Except no one watches "the media" anymore. It's all facebook echo chamber.
So, if Clinton were to win, she is impeachable. That would be fun.
Assuming that there are enough Republicans in the Senate, and that Clinton doesn't have pictures of said Republicans porking goats.
And after all that, we'd still be stuck with Pres. Kandy Kaine.
I will enjoy the Onion if that happens.
Republicans will talk big and then wind up punching themselves in dick. Repeatedly.
What else is new? They're not trying, of course, to oppose anything material.
Republicans really took off with tha in 1992, and never looked back.
She'll simply pardon Herself.
I'm in a line to vote right now. It will take at least an hour. Lived here 20 years and it has never taken more than 5 minutes. Something is going on.
I'll still guess Trump wins. All these people aren't fired up for the Dowager Empress.
If you want to cut ahead of everyone in the line you must loudly shit yourself. Parting the long line in order to quickly cast your vote will make you the squishy, stinky Moses your district so desperately needs.
I'm just here to tell you, you can even!
Its ok, just cut to the front and say, "DONT WORRY, I'M A TRUMP VOTER, NOT A MONGREL MUD-PERSON" very loudly (while staring contemptuously at the other people in line), and they let you right past.
Normally I get home from work around 2:45. I stopped to vote and got home around 3. I was #262. The town has under 900 people; I'm not certain how many are registered voters.
Turns out we have a busted voting booth. I'm blaming Soros.
No, Madonna is not giving oral sex to Hillary Clinton voters today, as promised
WHAT THE FRICK!? Class action lawsuit, anyone?
That's our Crusty!!!
Another broken promise. Polls are still open. Wake up!
Your pole wasn't woke by the Madonna promise?
Class has nothing to do with that promise or ensuing legal action.
I'm sure Crusty intended "action" to be the operative word.
I mean, at least give it a pity tug, you know. Make my vote mean something.
Harvard Soccer team already suspended for OMG SO MISOGYNIST
Now the school turns to other sports.... and is shocked to find similar behavior
Young men.... making suggestive remarks about young females? This is a shocking development.
Harvard seems to have been tipped off to this activity by Trump's disclosure that he was engaged in "Locker Room Talk".
I would love to read those scouting reports. I looked at the soccer and cross county teams. Woof.
SugarFree, being chased through the fields of his imagination
They look better there than in their mugshots for the Harvard website.
Wouldn't would would would would would would would would would would would.
That is the whitest picture I have seen in a long time.
Hillary's people.
Fabulous.
Well, off to do my civic chore duty. Hopefully the lines aren't too bad.
Fuck your dumb election, important things happening in the world
TOBLERONES CHANGING SHAPE
UK now officially the worst.
It has been statistically proven that consumers are much less sensitive to changes in quantity compared to changes in price, even though the cost / unit remains the same.
"Fuck your dumb election"
We have a thread winner!!!!
Toblerone to introduce new chocolate Pinion in 2017.
Cadbury Creme Egg did this a decade ago.
that's called "weigh-outs". You can't really get away with it w/ candy the way you can w/... other things.
its basically, 'do we want to change the unit-price', or 'change the unit'. More often when its an impulse item, they're more loathe to change the price because its a much more price-elastic type of decision.
Dammit, people, click on the link and gaze upon the abomination.
There's a change of weight, sure. But shorten the bar! Or shrink the overall volume! Changing the shape is an act of sacrilege!
I wonder if there'll be a reverse Moore's law and in a few years end up with this.
I agree. For a brand that is so defined by its shape, its a horrible decision.
But i imagine they wanted to avoid the re-tooling their packaging & distribution and store-display-stuff .... so... that's how bad decisions are made.
what's hilarious is that they usually spend a few million bucks on some consulting dorks to study these things in advance? (*i used to do that) and then do the opposite of what those people say, regardless. Consumer-goods companies make these sorts of mistakes all the time.
Did Orwell really have a time machine? Chocolate rations?
Oh fuck that. I recall being deeply amused that on map showing the most popular candy by state Arizona inexplicably chooses Toblerone.
It's always been one of my favorite chocolates.
Apologies for being late, but here's some fine Canadian derp for you, courtesy of our Beloved State Broadcaster.
Economic anxiety alone doesn't explain divisive power of Trumpism
Any guesses on what it is? Anyone?
most republicans are economically-better-off than democrats. the narrative that Trump is the product of "Economic Anxiety" is a myth created out of whole-cloth by the news media.
if there's a simple narrative that's closer to the reality, i'd suspect its much more something to do with people "Not Trusting" professional politicians anymore. and they nominated a TV-huckster-ignoramus-cad not despite his lack of qualifications, but because of them.
Nope - racism!
God, if you Americans had a proper State Broadcaster, you wouldn't be so uninformed. I can't even.
Who the hell would trust a Canadian state broadcaster on anything remotely America related? If you're even a marginally self-aware Canadian you know that so much of modern Canadian nationalism is based on our massive national inferiority complex, particularly towards the United States.
Is it the fact that it's so obviously racism that makes you suspicious of the claim?
What racism might that be?
that's actually *somewhat* of a myth.
Usually Republicans win a majority of middle class, upper middle class, and in some areas, lower middle class. Democrats do best on the ends of the spectrum - the working poor, and the very well off.
Most people think it's a linear relationship, poor = democrat and rich = republican. It's actually more like a bell curve, with republican being the middle.
i.e. the people on whom taxes fall the hardest
aka people with jobs.
Presuming that "working poor" means just that, then not exactly. But someone making minimum wage or near it is going to be a net beneficiary of EITC, especially if they have a spouse and/or kids.
my point was mostly about Trump supporters (which the media wants to portray as a horde of trailer-dwelling toothless yokels)
when the reality is that, just like what you describe, he skews on average higher-income and higher-educated than the average Dem. The idea that he has been buoyed entirely by "Working Class" dissatisfaction is the myth.
of course the real picture is 'mixed'.
I've pointed out 100 times that if you go to the trailer parks, you'll find a 60/40 split, and more bernie-supporters than the 'rich-urban' Bernie-supporters might want to accept are real.
And if you go to the rich communities, you'll find a different 60/40 split... and more Trump supporters than the NYT will ever admit are real.
What really set me off about that Friarsdwarf piece on voting for Clinton was his appeal to "civic duty." Why is it always my duty to do this or that distasteful thing? What about the political parties' civic duty to not nominate total garbage? What about the state's duty to maintain institutions and processes that don't produce total garbage? What about the state's duty to leave me the fuck alone sometimes?
Isn't it convenient that when it comes to the 'social contract,' it's always about how the citizens are obligated to do this or that, no matter how much the state disappoints in its purported promises.
yeah, that and that he seems to feel the need to abandon everything he (should) know about how the world works in order to jump on a bandwagon confirming that 'who is elected president' is somehow the most important political detail in our lifetimes.
Nothing about specific policies that matter to people concerned with liberty
if he actually had to consider things like "free speech" or "reducing US footprint abroad" or "economic liberty" or anything specific.... why, he might be forced to concede that there is either 'no good decision' at all as regards the candidates, because this vote is a choice between 'bad and worse'. And you really aren't helping whichever one you choose.
His whole point is to disavow his principled case from 2012... for one measly vote for Clinton!
What the fuck, Friersendorff? You know you're not actually stopping Trump. This is the best time to stand tall and say, "this system is broken and we shouldn't accept it." The odds of your argument stopping anyone from voting Clinton today are low, and maybe you get a few people talking about how unacceptable this has all been.
its not about stopping Trump.
Its about staying in the good graces with his journo-peers. I think that would be obvious.
If today hasn't pissed you off enough: WATCH: Massachusetts Police Detective Threatens to Beat, Kill and Plant Drugs on Teens in Newly Released Videos
At least he's being honest with the kids.
Yeah, thanks. My nuts were feeling far too neglected punch-wise today.

I think she is complaining that Minnesota is full of white people.
What's weird is you never heard the stories about the aggrieved Christ-fags studying at Mecca University. I wonder why that is?
Racist Americans can't be bothered to get a passport, duh.
OK, I did the fuckin' thing and voted. Luckily it literally took me two minutes - Gary Johnson, wrote myself in for Congress, and No on everything else.
Now it's cocktail time, and fuck the world.
Amen, sistah!
Bottoms up!
Down an appletini for me!
Watching Role Models and eyeing the aged eggnog that I should really save for Xmas. There's also the Remy Martin, or whateverthehell it is.
Rub-a-dub-dub!
Aged eggnog?
A la Alton Brown
Made it in early Sept, sampled it last week. Fucking amazing.
On my way home from my doc appointment this afternoon, I ducked into Dairy Queen and bought a Blizzard (Heath bits with chocolate ice cream) and immediately stashed it in the garage freezer.
Being perpetually on a diet, I only buy one Blizzard a year, but this year all bets are off! I am going to leave it out there until the elections are called (midnight maybe?) and then go use it to counterbalance/complement all the rum I am drinking.
Speaking of rum...
Heath Bars? Dairy Queen? is that an East Coast think or something...
WTF is wrong with you?
The retarded gene skips only the even numbered esteves.
Rum & Dairy Queen...that's a plan!
Classic comfort food for when you've transplanted to a state where the democrat party is literally legal named the "Democrat-Farmer-Labor" party.
The DFL a formula for perpetual facepalming in elections where "Think of the Children" meets "Workin' Man against The Man", and the "culture of St. Farmer". Cuz if you don't vote DFL, you clearly sacrifice puppies to capitalists in an environmentally unsustainable way.
Skol!
(WTF is wrong with the Vikes, BTW?)
Trump loses lawsuit against Nevada over the state's early voting procedures, which he claims benefited Clinton.
I'm still confused what the magic of early voting is. I keep hearing this-- heard it a few minutes ago on NPR, stats about who "voted early". Why is early voting the new "get out the vote" campaign? What's the advantage to a candidate (I assume the advantage goes to Hillary because I keep hearing it from the Clinton end of the ideological landscape)?
I would think if you were running a GOTV campaign, you would get as many people to vote early as possible. Once they have voted, they are locked in and there is no danger of them not showing up on election day or changing their mind. Given that fact, it seems to me that early voting numbers are a pretty good indication of how Hillary is doing getting people to turnout compared to Obama and Trump is compared to Romney. And in both Florida and North Carolina, the early voting numbers show Trump doing much better and Hillary not nearly as well.
Whether that translates to the full electorate remains to be seen. But I think it is decent evidence that Hillary is in trouble.
You're assuming that registered R voters who vote early are all voting for Trump?
Is that because the Republican party is unified behind him and has a functioning get out the vote machine working full tilt for him now?
Whether the Republicans who vote vote for Trump has nothing to do with his machine. The point of the machine is to get them to vote. And all the polls, even the ones showing Hillary with a big lead have Trump getting close to 90% of Republican votes and not any less than Romney got.
ok. That will be interesting to see. I assumed that the Dems are getting NeverTrump Republicans to the polls. They have invested in their machine for getting voters to the polls whereas Trump seems to be relying upon self motivation. Actual vote counts will out soon enough
I voted GJ, LP in the WI Senate race, LP in my district, Captain America for alderman, Natasha Romanov for treasurer, Matt Murdock for district attorney and myself for Register of Deeds.
Voting is so meaningful.
No love for Aquaman?
Nemo Supra Legem. Have a good night everyone.
I'm know this does not mean much. Trump idiot that he is ran a clean CamPain. Hillary ran a dirty CamPain. In politics cheaters always win. What's the point of having a Government when the least among us control the best among us ?
What's the point of having a Government when the least among us control the best among us ?
An outlet for smug condescension and spitefulness?
How on earth you figure that Trump's campaign was "clean" is something I won't even ask. I'll just ponder it as one does the nature of the cosmos.
Clean CamPain is what Sheldon Rankins will be meting out a week from Thursday at Bank of a Maric?n Stadium.

I'm having trouble posting it from my phone but there's a video showing a PA machine not taking a trump vote.
On another note, I didn't have to show id in my part of jersey. Worder how many dead people are voting here.
Only racist states require showing ID to vote.
And those pesky US Consulates.
Maybe if you repeat that little quip enough times it might become true. You suck, Robby.
That woman he dressed up in a burqa certainly committed a felony. And didn't even expose any wrongdoing, how sad.
I mean seriously, the only in-person voter fraud O'Keefe can uncover is what he personally commits? Is that so he can go to bed at night knowing at least he found one?
Scott Foval says hello, Tony.
That's bad-think. Tony no like bad-think.
Tony. As your attorney I advise you to stay away from lampposts, and wood chippers. =D

Sir, forgive me, but i must inquire why you keep posting penis emoticons
That's not pirate for Tony?
So Bob Creamer and Scott Foval both just by coincidence resigned the day that video showing them conspiring to commit fraud, i guess.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste on the Drudge Report.
Are you saying that that didn't happen, then?
Yeah, fuck Reason for its handling of this issue.
Voted for the Johnson (I'm in CA, so it matters not anyway) in my first ever act of civic obedience. (Never voted before and I spent twenty years on deployments, TADs, and wars, so kiss my ass).
The prop bets in CA are particularly funny. I voted no for anything that talked about more money/raising taxes and then voted for every local race based upon the description below the candidate: if you were a non-politician or at least had a "non-incumbent" descriptor, you got my vote. If Bonzo the Chimp had been on there, he would have gotten my vote, too. (One descriptor listed a guy as "bike mechanic" for some local office and I was like, "My man, I hope you win!" He got my vote.)
Mazel tov, fuckers.
Reason... who ran the cleanest, and most honest CamPain ?
Does it even matter anymore ?
dropped my ballot off at the CU campus site. A bunch of students hanging around the area asking/telling people to go vote. A few (10?) Hillary stickers on shirts, one Trump hat, and 3 Johnson signs on campus. All Hillary people looked like they were depressed, like a 7 am Monday class.
Tundra did you also vote for the guy from the Legal Marijuana Now party? I lol'd in the booth and picked him obv. Getting super stoned before voting added a nice flavor to the overall voting experience. Just doin' my civic duty over here boss!
+1 more MN Johnson vote here
Did you end up not voting for Eric or not voting for Terri?
Huzzah!!
"To my surprise, he too chose the Johnson."
just heard a news report that late deciders are breaking for Johnson 3 to 1
I understand that some guys come to the Johnson later in life. Your homo brethren are here for you. [snickers]
Whew. Wished I could have voted for Jason. He might actually be libertarian
I'll also be represented by either not Eric or not Teri.
"Poor Bradford spends more time on his back than a Tijuana hooker"
I chortled. I watched Bradford when he was a Sooner. Good work ethic, made of glass though.
Yes, I am in the Minneapple. (Well, a suburb, but Keith Effing Ellison is my Rep...Sigh.)
"there are more of us than could've imagined."--and if you strike us down, we shall become more powerful irrelevant than you can possibly imagine.
+1 another MN Johnson vote. I'm in the deep blue heart of Minneapolis where everyone still reminisces fondly about Bernie Sanders, so I assume I was the only LP voter at my polling place.
Took me several minutes to fill in all the other necessary "none of the above"s.
Damn skippy about that. I left MN for the sunny shores of Puget Sound 7 years ago, and I'd never even think about looking back (not that it's a heck of a lot better around here...)
