Brickbat: Bad Water

Hazel Juco, a senior at Michigan's John Glen High School, says she posted a photo of the discolored water coming out of a tap at a school sink on social media because she hoped it might spur some action. It did. The school suspended her for using an electronic device in a school restroom.

Yellow water in the bathroom is news? Get a life, Michigan!
It's like deja vu all over again.
Michigan's latest recycling program?
Reason's latest recycling program.
Morning, yes, covered yesterday,, even a little debate on 'the matter of 'would' for the teenage girl by some.
It was the Jack in the coffee, I swear!
Would scold.
Electronic devices in the lady's restroom are usually the cause of discolored fluids.
It's all fun and games till the batteries run down.
What if her camera phone was trans?
It identifies as an analog telephone?
Pure Michigan?
No watches are allowed?
Nor pacemakers, nor coclear implants, nor insulin pumps... (admittedly, two out of three of these are less common among students than faculty)
Perhaps the original intent was to keep the faculty out. You can't trust them unsupervised around children.
OT: Watching the "news" on CNN this morning and there's Congressman Chris Collins stating emphatically in response to the question of how Trump's going to do all these things he's promised that Congress will follow the lead of President Trump and the American People in making sure that Trump's agenda gets implemented. Yay! Finally somebody who gets it - Congress is there to oppose laws suggested by the wrong Top Men and be a rubber stamp for the right ones. It's not like Congress has any authority to pass laws all on their own.
What part of which state does this congresscritter represent?
The parties only disagree on the identities of the Top Men.
Salient points missing from the summary:
She was suspended, but the school administration did not report the maintenance issue she was complaining about, so it didn't get fixed.
The reporter showed other pictures (selfies) taken by girls in the bathroom and posted to social media that did not result in suspensions.
Unlike other such cases, the school system superintendent got involved and fixed the administration's mistakes. She got the pipes fixed and had the suspension expunged from the student's record. This is what a leader is supposed to do when someone down the food chain screws up. Not back them to the hilt with "zero tolerance" platitudes.
No word on what other disciplinary actions were taken, or if they offered an apology.
That's just water left over from cleaning out the Warty Dungeon. It's cheap but still drinkable.
It's John Glenn (two n's). You know, named after a national hero.
It's not anywhere near Flint, but it's still Governor Snyder's fault!
