What if a theoretical applicant has never had his writing published per se, but he makes a mean appletini?
Then you can be Robby Soave's personal butler, but that's a different application process.
Soave does seem the type to drink appletinis, doesn't he?
No one has hair that fabulous without enjoying girlie drinks on the reg.
His favorite microbrew is Smirnoff Ice.
It's the source of his volume and luster.
I always assumed it was Michelob Ultra, but appletinis and Smirnoff Ice both make sense.
How many interns does any publication actually need?
Let's have a conversation about common sense intern reform.
Prerequisites:
Must be shitting pants over Trump 24/7
Must be able to write about how Trump is Hitler and somehow totally worse than Hillary in some form unique from the other 5000 articles a day saying the exact same thing.
Must be shitting pants over Trump 24/7
Is this what happened to Reason 24/7? H&R was going to become wall-to-wall Trump so they just phased it out?
Back when Reason was still a libertarian rag, I would have wrote this:
Must look good nekked (pics required)
Must be in early to make the coffee
Must know which beer to get me after lunch, before I even think of it.
Is my car washed and detailed yet?
Must know how to polish a monocle like an orphan slave.
Have you ever worked a diamond mine?
Speaking of Trump, that well known far right wing outfit Welch moonlights for, the Los Angeles Times, has Trump up by almost five points in their latest tracking poll.
The LA Times have always had Trump ahead as far as I can recall. Obviously a gang of right wing extremists who hate women.
Nope. Their line has crisscrossed a couple of times. They had Hillary slightly ahead three days ago, and a virtual tie two days ago, but the media no longer being able to successfully cover up just how sick the sick snuke is seems to be having a not very positive effect on her popularity.
I don't pay much attention to single polls.
If you look at the RCP avg today, it has Hillary +2. My analysis hasn't changed much in the last couple of months, in that I have PA handing this to Hillary. Trump would need PA to win. He will probably win OH and FL, but that won't be enough.
What if a theoretical applicant has had her writing published...but wouldn't set foot outside the 406 area code for anything?
My thoughts and prayers would be with her. Theoretically.
She would be an extern then.
That $5000 isn't exactly keeping up with inflation, is it now?
Does Reason accept 60+ year-olds looking for a second career after retiring from their first? [dusts off resume]
They seem to be in the habit of hiring attractive young girls.
You wish.
If I had five published works, why would I want to be an intern? I would just you know be an actual paid writer/journalist.
So you can be in the same room as Robby's hair, duh. Do you want the privilege of buying his hair products or not?
Also perks like getting to eat whatever is left of his fruit sushi after he has fallen asleep exhausted from another 12 hour binge session
You don't want to do that. He licks every piece so no one else will take it.
What happened to all the other interns?
They are all working for CNN.
Is being trained in self flagellation a deal breaker?
Almost anything.
I went with Future Mr. Riven to Illinois late last month for USPSA nationals, and now neither of us have any desire to leave the state for a good long while.
