Stop Calling Trump 'Crazy,' Pleads Mental Health Advocate
The Narcissist and Megalomaniac communities, however, warmly embrace the Republican presidential candidate.*

Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) begs pundits and members of the public to stop calling Donald Trump "crazy." It is pretty clear that the reality-challenged Republican presidential candidate's antics, constant stream of tweeted schoolyard insults, and inability to form a complete sentence are signs that something is terribly wrong with his "very good brain." Still, as Kennedy explains:
"Crazy" is never uttered with compassion. I have never heard it used in the context of trying to get someone the treatment they need. When that language is commonplace, it becomes that much harder for those experiencing mental illness to openly seek treatment that works. It discriminates, in subtle and overt ways, and extends its reach into schools, workplaces and the health-care system, where we still don't provide routine mental health exams.
While I understand the former congressman's concern, I seriously doubt that people will discriminate against mentally ill folks based on pundits' metaphors. Nevertheless, will someone please compassionately intervene and get The Donald the help that he (and our poor country) so desperately needs?

Patrick Kennedy continues his unbroken streak of saying the dumbest shit possible.
Well what do you expect from a crazy person?

I think Bailey admitted to being a narcissist.
At this point, what difference does it make?
Trump is a political Rorschach test for the media.
I keep waiting for Trump to spring a blitzkrieg of competent advertising during the last months of the campaign. Similar to the Saturday Night Live skit - President Reagan, Mastermind.

Narcissist or Megalomaniac? You decide
If we can't call him crazy, how about kook or nutter?
Is fucking retard still on the board?
He posted a few times in the AM Links, so I guess so.
You're going to have to be more specific.
Right here
How about crazeballs?
I'd suggest "whack" but that might be considered appropriation.
"Short-fingered vulgarian"
"Orange buffoon"
"Clownshoes"
"Daddy"
All these work.

Okay, the "seizure" video was obviously edited. But yeah, wonder why no one is calling Hillary's health into question, considering that she did have blood clots, concussions, etc., in the recent past and she is no spring chicken.
They are both 70 years old, and are bound to have health problems, especially in a high-stress position like being president. We should take that into consideration when voting.
With any luck, this year's winner will beat William Henry Harrison's record.
Patrick's the alcoholic, hillbilly heroin addicted, cocaine fiend, and pill-popper that now fights against weed, right?
Yes. But he is a Kennedy so he does that with class. So it is different
CHOWDA!
That's the one. He's hustling hard to become the most loathsome Kennedy, despite never having killed anyone or held any position of actual influence.
Yes, PK is a drug war cheerleader. Didn't know about his history, but it's unsurprising that he's a "recovering" addict; those people are the worst and the gullible public confuses their history of bad decison-making with wisdom.
"Nevertheless, will someone please compassionately intervene and get The Donald the help that he (and our poor country) so desperately needs?"
I thought interventions just made things worse.
People misunderstand what an intervention is. During an intervention, you tell the person what YOU are going to do if they don't get treatment, not what THEY need to do.
Trumps completely crazy, he points out the insanity of the US political establishment without using the correct magic combination of words. Like saying that Obama is the founder of ISIS instead of saying that Obama created the conditions which allowed ISIS to flourish. Or calling his political opponent Lying Crooked Hillary Instead of saying that she prevaricates and shows a lack of respect of the law.
Only a crazy nut talks like that.
if only he had used the right words, he could have blown the lid off of the Ted Cruz Kennedy assassination plot.
Was it not effective? (I genuinely don't know)

When will Patrick Kennedy get the help he so desperately needs?
I think euthanasia is forbidden by his religion. Also, he might relapse into addiction.
Doesn't his family have at least one hitman on retainer? I can't imagine they could get to where they are without having pruned the bushes at least once or twice.
A list of his family members' activities would include a lot that's, technically speaking, forbidden by his religion and many other religions.

Didn't The Onion do a bit about the Cocoa Puffs bird really being a lunatic with the "crazy for Cocoa Puffs" line? And is Madonna's "Crazy For You" just as bad as Ozzy's "Crazy Train" or Gnarls Barkeley's "Crazy"? And what's the deal with Krazy Straws, Krazy Glue and Krazy Korn?
schools, workplaces and the health-care system, where we still don't provide routine mental health exams.
Stalin understood the societal value of a robust activist mental health system. Why can't we?
Yeah, giving government schools free rein to ask kids a bunch of nosy personal questions is such a good idea. No way those would ever be used to put people on lists, require them to receive "services," etc.
The best take away I get from this is that Kennedy, and other people who claim to advocate for the mentally ill want to enforce rigid accreditation of their victim group - if you're not sympathetic, no victim status for you.
This is like PETA sending a letter to a teenage bear mauling victim asking her to be nice to bears.

It's so ham-fisted, it's almost hilarious.
You'd think it would be impossible to make Trump seem sympathetic for all the outrageous trolling he does, but where there's a will, there's a way.
Congratulations, Patrick Kennedy! You've made the unpossible possible--and reminded people how silly nanny-state progressives can be in the process.

Once more, Ken, here's how you do that so people can see where that link actually goes before you click on it. Use angle brackets instead of square:

I figured he just didn't want to be seen linking to HuffPo.
Never change, PETA.
Here's a better way:
I've got an add-in that feeds a tinyurl address to my clipboard for whatever page I'm on with a keyboard stroke or a mouse click.
And if you don't want to go to my links, you're perfectly welcome not to do so.

Trump is not crazy. Trump is a raging asshole who "wins" by sucking all the air out of the room.
So...when do they start trying to pull *The Killing Joke* from the market?
...and all other Batman movies, comics, etc. which feature the Joker.
I hope I'm not giving them ideas.
If there's one thing that Trump's campaign has shown, it's that this country is hungry for more political correctness.
