Will it be Matt Kibbe, and will it air at 5:00? Place your bets!

My guesses: The interviewee will be Al Franken's nephew, and it will air at 6:47.

      I just lost a buck...to myself.

      I just lost a buck...to myself.

  2. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

Someone connected Kibbe's sideburns together across his chin.

  3. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

Let's maybe address Kibbe's point of the different headlines associated with the two parties obvious fractures.

  4. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

Kids now aren't libertarian. They're whatever they're told they deserve, which is everything. For free.

  5. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

Are they in the food court?

  6. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

So Redford was supposed to do the English accent in Out of Africa? I wondered why a Limey character was speaking like a normal American.

  7. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

It's more like a chessboard than a meatgrinder, at least from the planners' point of view.

  8. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

It's ever Mao or Stalin at first.

  9. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

Yes, when will there be an LP Establishment who will engineer from the inside who should be a candidate.

  10. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

She will be wherever on her skis where the machine thinks she needs to be to get votes.

  11. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

TPP is not a good thing.

"Hillary and Trump are kind of in bed with each other..."

  13. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

Matt Kibbe's facial-nest is an improvement over the rockabilly-chops.

  14. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

Did no one tell them that there aint no sound? Also, i guess my jokes about how the libertarians had been banished to the food court... weren't jokes.

    1. waffles   9 years ago

      Right click, unmute.

      1. Diane Reynolds (Paul.)   9 years ago

        Better option: Right click, pause.

      2. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

Its ok, i listened to 30 seconds on facebook and decided there were no jokes left to make.

  15. meister574   9 years ago

Looks like someone figured out to turn the phone sideways to shoot a video.

  16. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

I like Kibbe, however I do miss the sideburns. Maybe he was just itching to grow a beard, and Dick Armey wouldn't allow it? This merits further investigation, Reason.

    1. Diane Reynolds (Paul.)   9 years ago

Dick Armey?!! HA! I knew you were sentient in the 90s.

  17. Brochettaward   9 years ago

Hillary campaign manager admits she is a tough sell to voters.

Basic message is Pelosi-esque. You have to vote for Hillary before she can grow on you.

Also of note - Politico unabashedly notes that Obama's speech was "rousing" and that he "rocked" the convention center.

    1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

I think the outcome of the DNC, despite all the oohs and aaahs over Clinton and Obama speeches.... will ultimately to make hillary herself look *weaker*, by contrast.

because she's nowhere near the singularly-awesome-reality that Obama & Bill were pitching. "she has experience" they say. "she's qualified" they insist. But the second she starts talking, the country begins to develop a national migrane. No one can stand her for more than a couple of minutes.

even if she puts on a good show speaking tonight, i expect they will keep her away from the press and just run clips of this speech for the next 2 weeks or so.

OT: If the PGA ( a private organization) is hosting a private tournament ( the PGA Championship) at a private golf course (Balustrol), then why are NJ State Troopers running on course security (escorting players around)?

    1. Dennis, Constitutional Peasant   9 years ago

      They like golf?

    2. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

They are off-duty but still get to make money wearing the uniform. The PGA is paying for it. I think there are something like 10,000 uniformed NYPD officers at Yankee Stadium during playoff games. It is some astronomical number, but supposedly the Yankees and/or baseball pay for it.

    3. R C Dean   9 years ago

      This is quite common.

Don't worry, I'm sure the PGA and not the taxpayers are footing the bill. Seriously. This is a well-known perk of being a cop - getting to do mall-cop level work at double-overtime wages.

    4. The Last American Hero   9 years ago

Part of hosting a large event involves having adequate security. Using cops helps keep the insurance overlords happy, and if shit does get real - such as a drunken brawl or somebody throwing a full can of beer at a golfer, the cops are already there. I worked security at a few concerts and there was always a blend of cops and noncop security staff. If shit goes down, the non-cop staff is supposed to get the cops or let the band's personal security detail handle it. As Dean says, the venue pays the cops (so it's in your ticket price) and the cops make a bundle doing what usually amounts to Paul Blart-level work.

  19. Ken Shultz   9 years ago

Has Gillespie figured out what the Democratic Party's clitoris is yet?

    1. Crusty Juggler   9 years ago

Ken, we would attract more female commenters - and libertarians in general - if you cut back on your gutter talk. Grow up.

      1. Ken Shultz   9 years ago

        vulva.

"If someone pointed a gun at you and you had to choose between Clinton and Trump?"

Is this really a serious question, sir?
