Sarah Silverman: 'To the Bernie or Bust People, You Are Being Ridiculous'
Comedian called for Democratic Party unity.

Comedian Sarah Silverman—a proud supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders's campaign—urged the various factions of the Democratic Party to unite around Hillary Clinton in her speech at the Democratic National Convention Monday night. Silverman said that although she was "proud to be a part of Bernie's movement," it was time to pack it in.
"To the Bernie or bust people, you are being ridiculous," she said.
Her earlier remarks were marred by bad audio, and her latter remarks were drowned out by the crowd, which raucously chanted "Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!" Despite generally positive feelings on the main floor, there are clearly still divisions between the diehard Bernie fans and the rest of the convention attendees.
Silverman also praised Clinton for vowing to undo Citizens United, a Supreme Court decision that hinged upon whether filmmakers should be allowed to produce an anti-Hillary Clinton documentary prior to the election, despite campaign finance laws prohibiting them from doing so. It's always jarring to see people like Silverman—who make a livelihood saying controversial things—come out against free speech.

Was she at least funny?
There's a first time for everything, but this was not that time.

I have liked her in the past. You know, before she became a politician.
She's right on the margins of funny, cute, and obnoxious. Overall I probably would, but I'd be marginally embarrassed about it.
Way to go Sarah Silverman. It seems every day a new retard pushes me (against all good sense) to vote Trump.
#NeverTrump
#DonaldDuck2016
There is one elite comedienne. Her name is Tina Fey.
She has surprisingly good tits for an sell out, faux feminist comedian.
Wow, Silverman is such a hip, edgy shill for the status quo, isn't she?

+1 Black NRA
Her character is an inferior imitation of one of Chris Eliott's.
JCR nails it. I see that contradiction among my boomer prog friends: from hippy revolutionaries to fearful establishment drones.
I noticed a lot of nuts in Bernie's movement.
Phrasing.
Was he wearing short shorts?
That was undigested corn.
"To the Bernie or bust people, you are being ridiculous," she said.
Translation: "Fall in line."
I find Sarah Silverman hilarious, but her entire act is based on being hugely inappropriate and antagonizing the audience. Whoever thought putting her in front of the mike at a political convention was an idiot, because this is exactly the sort of thing she always does.
"Whoever thought putting her in front of the mike at a political convention was a good idea is an idiot" even.
"Whoever thought putting her in front of the mic at a political convention was a good idea is an idiot"
Why do you hate Mike?
I actually kind of like her too. And yeah, she is not my first choice for someone to send up to calm a crowd.
I think I thought she was funny at some point in the future, and then I saw some more of her stuff. I saw her "Jesus Is Magic" show live a while back and it was pretty lame. I think I laughed once or twice. It wasn't clever or imaginative. I stopped being a fan.
You liked her in the future? Are you some sort of time traveler?
A funny Sarah Silverman joke
*which would theoretically get her burned alive at the stake by today's SJW thought-police
I quite like it; for the style of delivery, really
*Video N/A. Got a paraphrase?
Silverman tries to make a joke, fails.
after a monologue about Hitler & the holocaust... she says quite seriously =
Actually, that is quite funny. She ridiculing the victim ranking SJWs revel in. At least let me believe that's what she's doing.
When God gives you AIDS (and God does give you AIDS).... Just make LemonAIDS.
In case anyone wants to know to make LemonAIDS, google "lemon party."
No way, dude - fool me seventeen or eighteen times...
...a Supreme Court decision that hinged upon whether filmmakers should be allowed to produce an anti-Hillary Clinton documentary prior to the election, despite campaign finance laws prohibiting them from doing so.
Facebook and Google/YouTube should decide for themselves what documentaries we should watch near elections.
Is this a documentary?

Life is a documentary.
Silverman? So would.
Silverman? So would.
Unfunny, shrill, complete wack-job - and hell yes.
Never stick it in crazy, dammit!
I so would. She has that Russian peasant body with tits and ass and curves in the right places. She is so built to be married and have 7 kids and still have a decent body.
She'd look her great as one of those Novye Russkie wives: clothes too tight, make up too heavy, hair too big...hell, just find the right picture here.
Can't link
FUCK IT I NEED REASONABLE *smashes stuff*
She is cute and smart.
I connect her in my little brain with her former lover, Jimmy Kimmel, who is a lefty. I connect Kimmel with the Man Show and Ben Stein's Money. Both Ben Stein and Adam Corrollo (he cohost on the latter) are righties. Both shows mocked the budding PC craze. I connect that with a short thaw that occurred in the late 1990's between lefties and righties.
Same, though I'd probably take her boyfriend before her.
So would. But she wouldn't be allowed to talk politics.
Hollywood hates CU - if it's overturned then the big money will flow directly to Hollywood.

She just keeps getting funnier!
Hey, at least it isn't Margaret Cho up there....
:shudders:
Where is Jeanine Garafalo when you need her. I want this trainwreck to be bigger.
Another deranged lefty comedienne I wanted to plow (granted, not so much these days).
What the hell is wrong with me??
Roseanne Barr too?
I HAVE MY LIMITS.
Yeah. There was something kinda hot about her. I really liked her in Mystery Men.
God, yes. She was still in her Lisa Loeb-esque cute phase in Mystery Men. The crazy/horrific scold phase is not as compelling.
To the people who like Sarah Silverman, you are being ridiculous.
"Think".... Heh, generous of you.
"In this election and every election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives."
Sweet Christmas.
If that's not a call to violent anarchy, I don't know what is.
It's always jarring to see people like Silverman?who make a livelihood saying controversial things?come out against free speech.
She loves free speech, just not from people who are wrong.
It was even more jarring to see former sworn top guardian of the Constitution, and potential first First Gentleman, rising to his feet to applaud Hillary's dedication to overturning Citizens United. I always knew he had it in him, but I felt positively sick when I saw that via the C-SPAN coverage.
Nothing says "unity" more than screeching from the DNC stage that Bernie's supporters are ridiculous and berating them for not shutting up.
No one actually seems to know what citizens united was about. They all seem to think it is about campaign finance reform. Which is bad enough.
Unclear why thy can't grasp that the NYT is a corporation that campaigns for politicians all the time.
"To the Bernie or bust people, you are being ridiculous," she said.
Lemme tell ya, there's nothing more persuasive to me than being insulted by my betters.
