Assassination attempt made against Donald Trump.
By someone who would have been stopped by a wall, no less!
That's got to make it at least, like, 20 feet higher, doesn't it.
A wildling or a White Walker?
NO SPOILERS
Newland Archer decides not to go up and visit the Countess Olenska.
Don't make this weird.
Wildlings'll just climb over it, it is known.
Wildlings go over the wall and Mexicans tunnel under it.
But since Bran bears the Night King's mark on his arm, his passage through the wall will cause its wards to fade and the whole thing to come crashing down.
Or we could have just banned Quantum flights
Hello.
College Republicans at UC-Irvine suspended for an entire year over Milo Yiannopoulos event.
A bad month for the gays.
Was that the event where a group of unruly progtards tried to assault him, and the security detail did nothing?
No, that was at DePaul.
The security detail which the college forced them to pay for - never forget that.
Ah. Thanks.
So what exactly would happen to these guys if they were to have meetings without university approval or funding? They must have an email list they can use to get around the suspension.
The feds would go after them. Title IX violation.
"without university? funding? "
"Title IX violation"
Um, no
Title IX is the new Commerce Clause
Title IX is the new Commerce Clause
Um, no
You're right, it's Title VI they'd use.

Spends Half A Million On 'Culturally-Appropriate' Food Stamps
But it's *mostly* American cheese and "potted meat product", right? RIGHT?!
PM[F]P is ham-derived, so not culturally appropriate for many refugees. As to everything else - welcome to America, learn to like what we grow here or start growing stuff yourself; we have a variety of climates and can grow damn near anything.
Well, they can stick to mechanically-separated chicken, then.
I think Hawaii is the only climate that can grow pineapple, which is a shame. They don't grow nearly as much as they use to since it's more cost effective in South America and the Philippines.
In otherwords, I can't be locally sourced, fair trade pineapple in the mid-atlantic. *cries*
Nope.
Nope, what? Hawaii is the only state that grows pineapple and they dont even come close to competing with other countries.
They'll grow here in south florida but I don't think anyone has ever tried to do it commercially here. I and some other people I know have grown individual plants.
I regrow the tops in the yard. I end up with very small pineapples two years later - about 1/3 to 1/2 scale. They are outstanding - by far better than the "ripened on the way across the pacific" variety. But I don't do anything other than root the top and put it out in the yard. Maybe if I enhanced the soil I'd get a bigger fruit.
I don't see how anyone makes a living off of the things. It takes a fairly large space to get one fruit that retails for $2-$4. The farmer can't be getting more than $0.50 per pineapple. They do seem pretty self-sufficient though. Maybe if land is cheap enough and you don't have to irrigate....
Bacon is ham-derived.
Any culture that doesn't like bacon deserves to be erased.
*Trump politics in a nutshell
You shut your mouth about bacon.
You know who else wanted to erase a culture which eschewed pork?
Anwar Sadat?
Menachim Begin?
I read this as "Anwar Salad"
Hulagu Khan?
I would never trust any religion that forbids pork. I'm fine if people do it for other, personal reasons, but a religion as a whole that allows beef but not pork is fucking stupid, IMO.
We're not crazy about goyim, for that matter.
Wait so Trump is Ron Swanson?
I doubt a photo of Trump is used to signify which Indian restroom is for men.
Don't blame the immigrants. As befitting its origins, Food Stamps are nothing more than farm subsidy payola for Mid-Western Democrat votes:
"Mid-Western" - please clarify UT, AZ, MD, VA?
immigrant communities around Salt Lake City, Utah
How many years after Joseph Smith brought Mormons to Utah and they're still not assimilated? Culturally appropriate would be bulk grains and no coffee?
Interestingly, the best two climates for growing pistachios are in Iran and California.
Provided of course, If the government, so infested with parasites, permits you.
Mediterranean-climate plants (olives, dates need those conditions to fruit well, others like pomegranates prefer it) need warm winters and dry summers, so there are warm places west of the Rockies that climate can be found.
Tropical fruits can be grown in Hawaii, obviously, but some will make it in California (lychee, dragon fruit) and many more in south Florida (banana, coconut, sapote, etc). But there are some "ultra-tropicals", like breadfruit, which can't even be grown in south Florida and need to be in the true tropics.
So Vietnamese in southern California (their largest concentration in the US is Orange County, I think) can grow their own dragon fruit and mango, but not Durian.
And if they did start growing durian, then we'd have a much worse immigration crisis
The solution is fire, and lots of it!
Who gets all the watermelon?
Good thing there's no way these free-shit programs could ever be abused. Just stick a sign on the giant trough of free shit that says, "For legal immigrants and refugees only." That oughta do it.
I have a dream... Oh, fuck it.
Guccifer 2.0 releases DNC docs about Hillary Clinton and about DNC finances donors.
Read her speech contracts and tell me that's not a bribe.
I'm sure there are lots of people out there willing to do just that. They're lying but still.
They are pretty worried about the Clinton Foundation donations, finances, and investments, relationships between the Clinton Foundation, Bill Clinton, and Clinton employees and a consulting firm named Teneo, Clinton Foundation lying about providing first class travel and not following a written policy regarding travel, the Clinton Foundation's activities in Haiti, and Clinton Foundation achievements (?!).
Apparently, I picked the right doc to look at: Latest hacked Hillary document reveals the Democratic Party researched Clinton Foundation's 'vulnerabilities' ? 42 PAGES of them ? as now the foundation is a hacking target too

[Chicago] Teachers Union is taking action against a teacher who crossed picket lines in order to coach his students' chess team.
King me!
The chess coach is the one who doesn't care about the children.
How do you coach a chess team? Snap them with towels in the locker room?
Extreme sarcasm.
"Did your Queen grow a penis, Taylor?"
"What are you doing with that bishop, Jenkins? Trying to molest your own pawns like it's your daddy? Get it into action!"
"I want you to go out there and check some mate!"
In the old days, it was being a stronger player than all the students and showing us what we were doing wrong.
Reminds me of an old SNL skit of a chess coach, Bobby Knight style.
WHY DON'T YOU GIVE HIM THE KING!
General relativity.
Do you mean spacetime curvature? Was it distorted by the proximity of Chris Christie?
Christie is a special case. Schwarzschild radius, event horizons. Supermassive black holes have really interesting physics.
I want no part of that naked singularity...

Fuck that strawman writer Conor Lynch or whatever that smug bastard calls himself. That Salon piece is garbage.
Here's a pro-tip: If you reference the LP 1980 platform in an article and the Kochs, you are a hackjob opportunist with nothing to contribute to the conversation.
Why won't these self styled journalists reference the actual 2016 LP platform? Its readily available on the website.
Uhh, because it's Salon and they don't write anything that isn't garbage?
Once upon a time they were on my list of reading materials for alternate view points than my own. Then they became a parody and I couldn't stand reading it anymore. They've abandoned all semblance of reason for pure feelz and lies.

The Past Six Presidents Have All Used The Executive Power To Block Certain Classes Of Immigrants
Hmm...this is almost on par with the crying and rending of garments over Trump's boast that'd he'd kill the families of terrorists, despite not commenting on the fact that Barry has been actively doing that same thing for years.
The pundits shitting their pants over how evil Trump will be can all rot in hell for their silence over the past seven and a half years.
Yeah, I was thinking the same after an left-written article critical of Trump for suggesting that we "profile Muslims"... as if that isn't already a thing that happens.
He should have picked a better father (or words to that effect concerning droning Al-Awlaki's kid).
Ease up on the derpitude there, 5000. 🙂
There's a rather obvious difference between collateral damage killing civilians (the norm in all wars) and deliberately murdering civilians in order to show the enemy you aren't 'weak' (Trump's proposal).
Similarly, there is a rather obvious difference between barring specific groups that are "detrimental to the interests of the United States" (normal) and barring all 1.1 billion adherents of a religion solely on the basis OF their religion (unprecedented, illegal, immoral, and unconstitutional).
Indeed, even if one's derpitude were so extreme as to cause one to view all the world's Muslims as a threat to America, it would still be illegal to use their religion as grounds for barring them.
There's a rather obvious difference between collateral damage killing civilians (the norm in all wars) and deliberately murdering civilians in order to show the enemy you aren't 'weak' (Trump's proposal).
Pretty sure Anwar Al-Awlaki was not "collateral damage". His son ostensibly was, although the timing of his murder-droning was pretty fucking coincidental and it strains credulity to think that his presence at that location was not known. Of course, it goes without saying that Obama is a man of peace and unquestionable morality, so surely he would never have let such a deed be committed on purpose!
Similarly, there is a rather obvious difference between barring specific groups that are "detrimental to the interests of the United States" (normal) and barring all 1.1 billion adherents of a religion solely on the basis OF their religion (unprecedented, illegal, immoral, and unconstitutional).
No one has actually proposed the latter, of course, but according to the wording of the relevant statute, it doesn't actually seem as if there is any difference at all in terms of legal authority. Whether it's wise to vest such authority exclusively in the executive branch is another question. Also, race and nationality were actually the primary bases for immigration controls in this country from their introduction with the Chinese Exclusion Act until the 1960s. Not one of those statutes was ever ruled unconstitutional. So, for whatever value anybody besides you places on your personal moral judgments, you're 1 for 4 on "unprecedented", "illegal", "immoral" or "unconstitutional".
Consider this possibility: maybe Trump really isn't the worstestest and most dangerestest person to ever seek office, and you simply had your head planted up your ass when a parade of past presidents actually did all of the shit that Trump promises to do that you find so uniquely horrifying.
Intelligence Squared presents a plan to fix the presidential debates.
Replace the moderators and candidates?
Citizen X and I moderate.
I have done so much cocaine to prepare.
Complete with a buzzer so that you can *BUZZ* wait, what I'm saying is *BUZZ* when answers go on too *BUZZ* hold on please let me *BUZZ* *BUZZ* *BUZZ*
This guy fucking GETS it, you know? You know?
"Please stop, I'm bored."
I would pay to see a debate based only on questions written by Agile Cyborg.
I have managed to avoid watching every debate so far, but I would watch that one.
^2nded
Loooool, they would never get to the answer.
"Could you repeat the question?"
"Probably not."
Their plan is the oxford style debate - which is inane because it presumes that
a) There are only 2 debaters
b) The debaters are on opposite sides of everything by virtue of their party affiliation.
I agree that the format needs to change but their prescription is mere self-aggrandizement in advertising for their particular product
Also c) assumes the debaters are actually trying to make point rather the just use up time.
If Agile Cyborg isn't in the mix, it ain't fixed in my book.
Simply have the microphones go dead 5 seconds after their time is up.
Next question.
I'd go the other direction. Do it like chess. Each candidate gets a fixed amount of time to spend as they wish. If you want to use your hour talking about the moderator's mom, that's your deal.
It solves a lot of the problems. Like the "Trump got 15 opportunities and Rand got 3" issue. If they load up one candidate, he's gonna run out of time before the end.
In a two person debate, I'd use the chess clock and just let them debate, sans moderator. Let the clock control the microphone. When you are done talking, you hit the button to stop the clock and your opponent can start talking. Easy-peasy, lemon squeezey.
Excellent! One possible drawback, though: no zugzwang. It might get to be like speed chess, with neither of them saying anything, just hitting the clock to turn it over to the other side. So make it that they have to use up some minimum amount of time each move. Like 10 sec. at least.
This is my favorite idea so far. It lets the reality show viewers get their entertainment, and it lets the nerds judge the candidates on their strategy and time management. It's also the best implementation I've heard yet of the no-moderators idea, and I haven't ever observed a moderator making a presidential debate anything but worse.
It should be a true debate, but not of a policy question, because that's not what the election is necessarily about. How do you know what policy Qs people want As to? There's really just one issue that should be debated; I should be president, & you shouldn't. Let them debate that, free format.
I never watched the show, but I assume that's what happens on The Apprentice, too.

US Senator: Get rid of due process ? it's "killing us"
Are you serious? Are you serious?
Here's a better idea ? let's allow the executive branch to seize the records of legislators that they think might be corrupt or undermining America. Let's start with Joe Manchin!
No one can deny the possibility that those records prove Joe fucks sheep.
How the hell did someone like Manchin get elected in WV?
WV says it all.
I think Senator Joe Minchin would change his tune real quick if he were under investigation?
Senator Les Whynen would be more successful if he had more good ideas and less whinin'.
Uhh, he's against due process, so why even bother with the "investigation" part?? Let's skip straight to conviction!!
Sentence first ? verdict afterwards!
It's good enough for the Cardies.
Another thing for my Team-Blue-bot friends to pretend never happened.
Not a smart move on his part. A lot of his constituents still remember, or have heard first-hand tales from, the various prohibition wars.
Smart moves are not in Joe Manchin's repertoire.
In 1980, this would be considered treason. Today, meh.
The Second Amendment is not for a land invasion by a foreign country or for hunting, IT IS FOR THIS!
Anyone that utters a phrase like "Due process is what's killing us right now," should have it rearranged: "Killing us right now is what's due process".
Firearms lobby launches constitutional challenge of Quebec gun registry
They want it to be more unfriendly to non French speakers?
Quebec is full blown retarded. Canada's national gun registry was a $2 billion disaster and waster of tax dollars. What makes Quebec, the most infamous province where corruption is concerned, think it will fare better?
And given gun violence here is practically negligible, it makes this move all the more perplexing.

Driving that thing into the city was the craziest act they committed.
"You think I'd be caught dead driving that thing? Looks like a school bus for 6-year-old pimps."

FREE TICKETS, YAY!
I logged into my ticketmaster account and found the voucher, sifted through the trashpile of livenation concerts and settled on Slipknot w/ Marilyn Manson. It was close between that or Kidz Bop / Dolly Parton. But I'm happy with my choice. I think anyone who used ticketmaster even once between 1999 and 2013 has at least a voucher. Chicago Teachers Union is taking action against a teacher who crossed picket lines in order to coach his students' chess team.
For the children.
In chess, the black and white sides are equally matched, which is clearly an attempt to deny the existence of white privilege. And why does the queen need to have a king? Why can't she have another queen? Bishops? Seriously? Obviously a subversive attempt to force religion into public schools.
Honestly, I don't know what you were thinking...
Well, white does move first...
Knights have their own special moves. Rooks and bishops can move 7 squares at a shot, and the 1% queen can range all over the board, while pawns can only move one square at a time. Do you even care about move inequality?
SJW Chess:
1) Every piece gets to move however it wants
2) Black moves first. White never moves because, fuck whitey
This probably exists somewhere horrible.
Some of my pawns self-identify as queens.
Assassination attempt made against Donald Trump.

Assassination attempt made against Donald Trump.
"Down with the Fourth Reich!"
Assassination attempt made against Donald Trump.
Damn those violent Trump supporters.
Literally the way my local news station framed it was "A frightening instinct at a Donald Trump event where a man tried to grab the gun away from a policeman"
Then somewhere in the story they mentioned that the man's motives was shooting Trump, then quickly shifted back to talking about Trump's rhetoric.
From the minute they said "Man" and not "Trump Supporter" I was betting it would be a protester...
'Oh it's wrong to threaten a life BUT...garble-garble-marble...rhetoric!'
IMAGINE if a Trump supporter threatened Sanders!
The sad part is how much coverage any threat of any kind against Obama, Hillary, or Bernie that advanced to this kind of stage would get vs. Trump, and how the media spin it. I am actually very glad that no one has had the opportunity to take a shot a Obama. Let him life in ignominy for the rest of his life, and let his works be compared to Jimmy Carter's, and come up short.

A Case Study in Sanctions
They are appealing because they allow countries to say they "Did something" while not doing much at all. Its politically convenient.
Then when they Do Nothing - which, as anyone has observed the history of Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Myanmar, Sudan, etc etc etc should recognize - the problem then becomes = "When do we STOP these sanctions?!"
When you realize they're not actually accomplishing anything, BUT that unilaterally withdrawing them means 'acknowledging failure', and effectively rewarding your adversaries for outlasting you....? At that point there remains little incentive to ever actually change.
And what happens as years pass is that relations continuously sour = because you've been making someone else suffer for years because you're afraid to .
its how 'small disagreements' become bigger ones over many years.
wasn't that sort of how the Nazi party came to power as well?
Olympics Start With a Bang!
"We made a mistake in permitting the Olympic torch, a symbol of peace and unity, to be exhibited alongside a chained wild animal. "
that is horrible.
That settles it. I'm not going.
Yeah my ticketmaster voucher wouldn't even work for it.
Zeus approves of this sacrifice only if the corpse is roasted on the sacrificial pyre and the meat distributed to his worshipers.
The original Olympics didn't start with an animal sacrifice?
As HM notes - i'm pretty sure they did. just not accidental ones of extremely rare animals.
I'm not sure they're 'extremely' rare, just so in the US. There is confirmed sighting of one in AZ and I've seen mention of unconfirmed sightings in TX.
The article says 'near threatened'.
Fine, strike "extremely".
Though, "no more than 15,000 alive on the planet" strikes me as comparatively "rare" regardless of what the world wildlife fund thinks. When i was a kid bald eagles were considered "very rare", and there were still like 100,000 of them around, and you could still expect to see one in the wild if you farted around in remote parts of canada long enough. Now there's like twice that from what i hear.
A smiling yellow jaguar known as Ginga is the mascot of the Brazilian Olympic team.
The shooting caused uproar among animal rights groups, which questioned why the animal was involved in the Olympic event.

just kidding = They're giving away tampons!

They're required to look like French ticklers.
You'd think novelists could afford to buy them.
Honestly, if I lived there I'd replace my paper towels with tampons. Probably a bit more annoying to use, but they're absorbent and free. Why NOT clean my bathroom with a fistful of tampons??
*Plus* they are great markers for writing protest signs.
Why NOT clean my bathroom with a fistful of tampons??
because it's inefficient use of the absorbent material, that's why. You just wad up a big ball of paper towel, get one side wet and toss it because it's not working anymore, don't you.
"because it's inefficient use of the absorbent material"
I'd sacrifice a bit of effeciency for reducing my cleaning costs. There's no NEED to be effecient with tampon cleaning when the idiot government gives you all the tampons you ask for!!

I'll bet what happened is if the logic doesn't think you are stopped, and you push the lever forward, it won't go into Reverse or Park! It will however allow you to go into netural while not in a complete stop. Soooo, you think you've put the car into park, but in reality the car is in neutral.
And if the slope is almost level, the car won't move, until you get out of the car and impart some momentum as you push yourself away, starting it slowly rolling.
That looks like all kinds of suck.
That is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen.
Seriously. Its just stupid, adds zero functionality while making simple routine tasks complex. its anti-design.
Coming soon to smart guns.
One of the built in safeties to a mechanical shift is that you can FEEL when it is in park. And it's less likely to fail.
So fucking stupid.
Full automation or none, halfassing it is more dangerous than either choice. People rely on the half-assed features as if they're full-assed, and wham, dead.

Well, I suppose *that* business won't pan out.

You know what?? I think you could make a pretty good business model off of this. Set it up with, like, laser-tag like elements. Hell, I bet you could pay people to be the prey!! A non-lethal "dangerous game" would be fun and with enough dark humor to excite.
did you just describe standard laser tag?
Yeah - that is pretty much laser tag. And unless you keep to Mountain Dew flowing and have plenty of quarters for the arcade in the lobby, it is pretty lame.
Yeah, it'd be great until Bruce Abbott goes all psycho on Linda Hamilton.

You should be happy to get fucked out of your insurance. Look at all of the people who benefited from that?
he law slashed the uninsured rate among non-elderly adults (ages 18 to 64) by a stunning 43 percentage points since 2013. Twenty million Americans gained health insurance coverage, including 8.9 million whites, 3 million blacks and 4 million Hispanics. Seniors got help affording prescription drugs. Insurance companies may no longer drop from coverage those who become ill, or refuse to cover people with pre-existing conditions. Why didn't these benefits improve the public's assessment of the law?
Because those numbers are in proportion to a country as large as this one very small and those "achievements" came at the expense of tens of million of people who were otherwise happy with their health insurance and have now seen its price go through the roof or lose their coverage altogether seeing it replaced with something greatly inferior.
This is not hard.
Notice it doesn't mention cost or the fact that the yuts were forced to buy insurance
Are they really so stupid they can't see that or do they see it and are just that big of dishonest hacks?
I am betting on stupid. Washington journalists are just a profoundly stupid group of people.
Both I wager
Blasphemy! Also, idiot.
At above $50k, one must ask whether these people were uninsured because they couldn't afford it.
And como que Obamacare slashed the rate of uninsured? The exchanges didn't take effect until Oct 1, 2013 and they were a useless disaster.
Lawrence Jacobs and Suzanne Mettler, you innumerate little tits, you shoved a gun up your healthy young neighbor's nose and demanded he cough up the dough or he gets it. Now y'all want applause.
Fuck off, slavers.
I sure as hell couldn't.
"Why didn't these benefits improve the public's assessment of the law?"
Because so many of us got f@cked with much higher rates and deductibles. Duh!
Twenty million Americans gained health insurance coverage
Yeah, that's bullshit.
Why didn't these benefits improve the public's assessment of the law?
The accompanying price increases to pay for those benefits that many of the 'customers' don't receive any benefit from. Crazy talk, i know.
Anyone seen the heart shape rainbow next to the Youtube symbol on Youtube ? It leads to a #Proudtobe campaign about LGBT people...
I don't care, I really don't care how weird or queer you are, if you self-identify as male or female or as a cis-non-normative intersectionnal unicorn, but can you please stop force feeding it to me?
Can't remember which comedian said that ''It's not like they are touching dicks in front of you while you're trying to eat your bowl of cereal'' Well, it's starting to look like that.
The millenial part in me is starting to can't even...
Oh and I can't wait for the #Proudtobe straight white male campaign
I'm not force-feeding you anything. Heh.
Take that up with YouTube who has chosen to do this.
Oh, and nobody is forcing you to use YouTube...
I'm not 14 anymore, so I don't HTML anymore :

"I'm proud to say that moments ago, I introduced legislation, Bill C-16 ... that would ensure that Canadians will be free to identify themselves and to express their gender as they wish while being protected against discrimination and hate," said Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould adding that, "because as Canadians, we should feel free and safe to be ourselves."
I really don't care people judging about my cis-normative white male drunken celibate lifestyle, and hating me for it. In fact, I actually encourage it! But I guess it cannot go the other way around, so yeah, force feeding. As I am pretty sure this law will never be used for hate against cis-normative white male drunken celibate people.
But you are right, Youtube is free to do as they please, and I am free to critize this as a stupid social movement. Let's see them try that in some ME countries.
It almost sounds like you're complimenting Middle Eastern countries. Almost.
To me it just seem like they enjoy having an argument with someone that already agree with them.
Me : Yeah, you should be free to love and live your life your own way.
LGBT : No wait! There is also this argument !
Me : Ok, I agree.
LGBT : No you still don't, hear this !
Me : Still agree, can, can we talk about something else?
LGBT : NO ! I'm not done yet ! Watch this !
Me : Seriously, are we going to spend the whole evening about this or....
LGBT : Ahaha ! I knew you we're a bigot !
Me : I know I'm not, but heh, whatever floats your boat, how about you bring this to the other real bigot over there ?
LGBT : Hummm no, too scary, he will probably kill me, but you are an easy opponent, so hear me roar!
Hyphen. 'Nuff said.
After Obergfell, when somebody posted the "Love Wins" stuff, I asked if they were supporting plural marriage too.
You can probably guess the reaction.
Yes, Ted, your butt-hurt is duly noted, too. Eddie? Anyone else?
I wasn't butt-hurt over gay marriage becoming legal.
I was more trying to point out that people oppose polygamy because the people who practice it are still seen as "icky" (ie. the fundy Mormon types), as opposed to gays who are now thankfully no longer seen as icky.
I never gave a shit about gay marriage. Marriage doesn't depend on the state. It is a civic institution that the law recognizes. Gays were married already. The problem was they raped the constitution and when you combine court mandated government recognition of gay marriage with the public accommodation laws you end up destroying the freedom to object to gay marriage.
But no one would listen. it was gay and that was all that mattered.
But whyfore your hate them GAYZ John? THEY JUS WAN HAPPY!
The difference is between malum prohibitum and malum in se. Polygamy isn't malum in se, because it doesn't directly harm anyone, though it does have a strong intersection with things that do, such as child marriage and a general treatment of women as chattels.
Ha ha, you said butt-hurt.
Polygamists can fight their own battles.
Like what the fuck? I don't have a problem with people bitching about the gays, but when they shove it into my face I say enough. I can't even enjoy reading the PM links without some stupid homocaust comment. The millenial part deep inside me going I can't even......pull.....out.
Yeah that's right, 'cause we have a big homocaust parade every year. Where every good Pol shows up! Oh and we're trying to pass a bill to get people not to hate on homocausexual (I guess). And the media is giving us soooo much respectful attention too. And your average facederp feed is probably filled with people expressing their homocausexuality.
I'm not bitching about the LGBT community, I couldn't care less about them, just like I do about everyone else. I'm bitching about all the special attention they get from everyone, like they are some special retard child or something, and the social and soon legal pressure that I should give them special attention as well.
Nice way to miss the point btw.
C'mon CJ, you know you can't force the willing.

Wait - I thought that gays would appreciate the futility of gun control after the Orlando massacre and support Trump and his nationwide plan to get people to carry guns into nightclubs.
Re: dajjal,
I cannot believe there's only 100 gay people in all of the US territories,
"[...] an overnight demonstration attended by about 100 people outside the Fairfax, Va., headquarters of the NRA."
Or it could be that you're misconstruing the truth by giving that small number of wack-a-doodles the importance they don't deserve.
Why don't they go do that in front of a Mosque. It might take having a "die in" to a whole new level.
Awesome! They could use pig entrails to indicate suicide-bomber remains!
Because the cowardly little shits know the NRA won't kill them.
The action was sponsored by Code Pink, a group known for its anti-war stance...
See, the anti-war left didn't die after all!
So during Hibernation Season (Democrat In Office) the Anti-War Left passes the time bitching about guns in non-war situations??
That explains a lot.
"The group said they were there in mourning for the Orlando, Fla., shooting victims."
Bull fucking shit.
They would grab more headlines if they would kill their selves instead of this pretend shit. #enough

Monthly tracking polls show that 49 percent hold unfavorable views of the ACA versus just 38 percent holding favorable views. These assessments fly in the face of the ACA's accomplishments.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.
"We never claimed it was a *perfect* law!"
Yeah, but what part of the 49% have unfavorable views because they think ACA went too far and what part have unfavorable views because they think it didn't go far enough?
Isn't the opinion of 51% of Congress plus 1 president the only thing that matters, though?

Activist judge, or retard?
He and the lawyers for the other defendants said that the plaintiffs had not met the burden of showing their clients had been negligent and that as a result the case should not be allowed to proceed. They said the question of whether civilians should be allowed to buy and own assault weapons ought to be decided by lawmakers, not the courts.
Judge Barbara N. Bellis of Superior Court asked the lawyers to clarify their argument, wondering why the same rules applied to cigarette manufacturers should not apply to gun makers.
"Cigarettes are legal, but society has changed regarding how safe they may or may not be," Judge Bellis said. "Why does that same concept not apply to AR-15?"
Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems to me this judge is actively participating in the claimants' legal argument. Isn't the judge there to apply the applicable law, as written?
Did the gun jam?
RRRRRETARD.
Question is does she really want to be called an idiot by SCOTUS.
Obviously this is the kind of person whose opinion on the "gun debate" is going to get the most press.
Is that the guy who designs Hillarys frocks? Or are they smocks?
he was highlighted and quoted in the above NYT story. He's the brother of a victim at Newtown. Being related to a victim, he is himself a member of a Victim Class, which gives him moral authority and means their opinion, no matter how ignorant or naive, is to be considered seriously
And he didn't recuse himself? Of course he didn't.
She can ask all the questions (loaded or not) as she wants. The simple answer is "well, your honor, laws were passed to treat cigarettes differently. In this case, a federal law was passed to preempt these types of lawsuits. So, unless you've had a stroke since law school and have forgotten all the precedent regarding both the Commerce Clause and federal preemption, I am forced to believe that you are either 1) predisposed to a particular outcome in this case, or 2) are dumber than a bag of hammers."

Nice band name.
I'm surprised it took the unhinged retards this long. I would have expected it months ago.
He had been "planning it for a year", but only learned to shoot a gun the day before. Whoops.
And apparently his entire plan was:
1) Steal gun from cop
2) ???
3) Shoot Trump.
millenial hubris = "if yokels can do this, i can become an expert in a day. my parents always told me i was a quick learner"
+1 True Car now you can be an expert in less than a minute*
*like Matt Yglesias
But Matt doesn't have a minute to spare.
Maybe he truly thought it was that easy to get a gun in America, spent the entire year trying to get a gun through existing regulations, realized this was taking too long, and gave up to try to steal a gun from a cop??
He should have researched how the holster works. It's like a chinese finger trap; you have to pull it out the right way.
Also, just like Winston's mom.
Burnnnnnnnn.
Damn! So quick.........
this may be giving the guy too much credit, but I would offer up that he figured there would be no way to get a gun into the rally, but, "Hey, the cops already did it for me!".
Then, because he's so awesome and certainly rational, he figured he could simply take a cops gun away and Bob's your uncle.
He probably should have spent at least as much time learning about retention holsters as he did learning to shoot.
Well, there's still a few months 'til the election if one of these abject losers wants to try and make Trump the next Pim Fortuyn.
Can you imagine the chaos if Trump gets shot and Hillary gets indicted?
Hmm. If he chooses a good veep is he as good as dead?
As long as we are stuck at "Taxation is theft!" there is no hope for us.
Crazy talk that money belongs to the government, already. It says so in the Social Contract.
How the hell is this not a blatant violation of the 1st amendment? Rhetorical question, I know the answer: because FYTW.
Because they were already on double secret probation?
Look what the retard reaction is to the effects of overpriced labor and technological innovation.
I keep SFing the link (Yahoo News):
MUNICH, Germany (Reuters) - Europe's growing army of robot workers could be classed as "electronic persons" and their owners liable to paying social security for them if the European Union adopts a draft plan to address the realities of a new industrial revolution.
Robots are being deployed in ever-greater numbers in factories and also taking on tasks such as personal care or surgery, raising fears over unemployment, wealth inequality and alienation.
Their growing intelligence, pervasiveness and autonomy requires rethinking everything from taxation to legal liability, a draft European Parliament motion, dated May 31, suggests.
It seems like the naked arm-twisting gets more and more brazen.
And when you say, "you're just strangling economic growth", people will STILL go
"ha ha ha Of course not! I read Thomas Friedman and i once read a summary of that guy Piketty in the New Yorker, therefore I am an economic mastermind and clearly this is just a common sense proposal to ensure the solvency of our entitlement regime!"
I would love it if the companies said, "sure, we'll hold this money in trust for the maintenance of these electronic persons. We plan on making sure they live AN INCREDIBLY LONG AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE"

I've been poking around Infowars, and I have a question for you guys: what are the chances 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by Mossad at the behest of Halliburton in order to start an everlasting war?
Scale of 1-10?
Is !!!ZOMG-ELEVENTY!!! an acceptable answer?
Sorry, just reading the word "Infowars" does things to my brain.
JUST THINK ABOUT IT
From recent engagements with conspiratorial retards, it seems half their game is to get you to go, "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU RETARD" so they can go,
"Aha! see you're just *rejecting this* because you're too scared to consider their might be something wrong with your precious Simple Worldview!!"
its not about 'facts' - its like some shtick that "Yokel Intellectuals" pull to make themselves feel smart around their tractor-pull buddies.
I'd say the chances are about 9 in 11.
How could it be an inside job if it was perpetrated by Mossad?
who do you think Boosh and Cheney worked for?
9.11%
(actually, can you have percentages less than zero? cuz that's what it is)
It's mostly a "They Want To Take Our Beloved Goodies Away!" screed. Don't bother with it.

Did the gun jam?
Exactly.
"The gun jammed, and as a direct result of the failure of the weapon to function properly, I was gored by the Cape Buffalo. I'll most likely be in this wheelchair for the rest of my life."
*raises shirt, shows horrific scar on abdomen to appalled jurors*

"What caused Corey Lewandowski's fall.
This may be the last Lewndowski story ever, so we really should reflect on all the mistakes that were made.
For instance, if Breitbart had known that their readership would dry up overnight, and that what's her name would become a big star because Lewndowski viciously . . . um . . . bumped into her arm, I bet they would have done things differently. All those staff resignations at Breitbart, too, you know, the people that resigned in sympathy with that fresh news star, what's her name? Yeah, well those resignations are obviously having a disastrous impact on Breitbart, too.
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/breitbart.com
If only management at Breitbart had realized that by not falling over backwards to stand by that new big star that got her arm bumped . . . what's her name, that they were committing professional suicide? I'm sure they would have done things differently. Lesson learned!
It's just great to see a news organization pay the price in the market for not standing on principle. And the principle Breitbart didn't stand on is obvious. By not standing up for what's her name, they failed to . . . well it's a very important principle. I forget what it was at the moment, but it had something to do with misogyny and Trump staff acting like Nazis or something. I know because Salon told me.
