A German court has issued a temporary injunction barring re-publication of most of a satirical poem targeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan is seeking a permanent ban on the poem, and the government has launched an investigation of comedian Jan Boehmemann for reading that poem on television. Officials say he may have violated a German law banning insulting foreign heads of state.

I really can't imagine what the German government is thinking in banning its citizens from criticizing foreign heads of state. Maybe it circles back to antisemitism in some weird way? Anyway, good for anyone in Germany who stands with this guy.
