Was Michael Hihn invited, or is he just going to show up?
Just show up, and I'd imagine he'll start every conversation with the same canned rant about Nolan libertarians while people try to politely excuse themselves before just walking away after he refuses to give them a chance to speak.
Also, RIP Tibor. And fuck you, NIck.
That escalated quickly.
The best thing about Brochettaward is the class he brings to the joint.
Brochettaward is one of the more entertaining yokels here.
I missed this when it happened. Tibor was a giant. I recall some gracious correspondence with him back in the 90s mailing lists heyday. He contributed to the non-dogmatic Objectivist mailing lists that were about, making elegant cases for Objectivist principles without being doctrinaire. We were mostly students or rabble, and he did not have to contribute his time in this way, and I still remember it very gratefully. RIP dude.
RIP Tibor. Eff objectivism.
Has this variant ever been positively identified?
Boy I bet the cocktails will be a'flowing.
Postrel be a lie. Sayin' she dreamed of editing Reason when she grew up. Where are you now, Virginia? Where are you now...
Bummer. Condolences.
Tibor Machan - The good ones die too soon. Unfortunately, assholes live forever.
