Brickbat: The Big Coverup

The Borghi Fine Art Gallery, in Englewood, New Jersey, has sued the city after it was threatened with fines because artwork depicting a partially nude woman was visible through its window. A city ordinance says nude art can only be displayed in interior rooms not open to the public.

Good thing they didn't look through Warty's window.
Even if they did we would likely never hear about it...
wouldn't that just burn your eyes out?
For shame! The article doesn't include pics of this supposed painting that makes weenies firm.
And yet Chris Christie could walk around half-naked and it would be perfectly legal.
It's the Stay Puff marshmallow man!
"You have chosen the form of the Destructor!"
the dumpy, fat, delusional Destructor
you all realize that it wasn't his aides that blocked the bridge, it was the Gov. and his big fat @$$ standing athwart history yelling stop!
Everyone acts as if blocking the bridges was a bad thing.
We should block off all the bridges to New York, and blockade the port, just to see if they can learn an appreciation of how dependant they are on the rest of us.
If that fails, we can always use the space as a prison...

The name's "Snake"!
That was a Kurt Russell movie.
Good thing this sort of stuff doesn't happen in Virginia. Why, we even have tittie on the State seal.
it actually does, except no one gives a steaming crap...
Sometimes these things are purely accidental.
*Maybe NSFW*
Damn. Bok really stepped it up, that's the most realistic human figure he's ever drawn. I don't get the funny, though.

If you wanted to display acceptable art in New Jersey you should have played Jersey Shore on a loop.
You're trying to commit crimes against humanity, aren't you?
You know most of the cast were not actually from New Jersey.
Shit rolls down hill.
*downhill, in this case referring to a a sort of gravitational shitwell centered on Jersey.
a black hole of shitiness?
Helen: Get dressed, Marge. You've got to lead our protest against this abomination! (Shows Marge a newspaper with the Statue of David on the cover)
Marge: Hmm, but that's Michelangelo's David. It's a masterpiece.
Helen: (Gasps) It's filth! It graphically portrays parts of the human body which, practical as they may be, are evil.
Marge: But I like that statue.
Maude: (Gasps) I told you she was soft on full frontal nudity.

It isn't called "fine art" for nothing.
No, no, 'fine art' is when a starving artist inscribes the entire Bhagavad Gita onto a single grain of rice.
Verily.
Is Swiss up early in the morning?
I don't think I've seen him before 8 very often. though he does pop up prior to the AM Lynx from time to time.
There's no need to get all squinty this early. People will just think it's a lack of caffiene.

Partially nude woman = no burka.
As a NJ native and current resident for just a little while longer, I am not in the least bit surprised. I had to stop my delivery of the state's largest news paper because it just made me so angry all the time.
BigT jokes about the burka... go to some parts of Paterson NJ some time and you'll see plenty of them.
would not be caught dead in Paterson...actually that's the only way I'd be in Paterson...
New Jersey: a perfectly good field trial of what we don't want anywhere else.
a test case or a basket case, take your pick...
