Brickbat: No Parking

Harvey Saunders put a video camera on his dashboard after being hit with two parking fines he says he didn't deserve. And he caught a Hull, England, parking warden moving a "No Parking" cone in front of his car and then writing him a ticket. He later posted the video on the Internet. Officials have rescinded the ticket.

Why is this person still allowed to own a camera?
Cameras are only used by terrorists.
What is the next step?
(and please people, think of the children)
This debacle suggests that the idea of movable no parking zones is legally untenable.
Reminds me of the guy who always carried a trashcan in his trunk an ashcan in his boot for covering up fire hydrants to facilitate parking.
At least the fire department has an ashcan to put the rubble in then.
Being British and all, shouldn't the punishment require the cop to wear the cone as an Elizabethan collar for a week?

'You were parked illegally.' 'Oh yeah? Let's go to the Dash Cam Pro". Order now.
You know. I'm actually considering buying one for the heck of it.
They haven't arrested him for illegally something something AUTHORITAH something officer safety something else?
To be fair, the parking officer's vision may have been impaired by that giant blurry helmet he was wearing on his head.
Man, I laughed.
Did the driver turn over the entire video, you know the part where he pulls into the spot and the cone is already moved? I got an unsubstantiated suspicion that he just may have been the cone mover.
That's not his problem, that's the *prosecutor's* problem. He just showed enough evidence to push their case into 'reasonable doubt' territory and has no obligation to prove his innocence. If the prosecutor believes he moved the cone in the first place *he* can introduce evidence of that.
I get that, just wondering if he has that video. It would remove any doubt (not that he needs to), if he doesn't have it I'm gonna wonder why. No, he doesn't need to prove his innocence, I just question where that video is, that's all.
It was erased by footage of Elaine dancing.
+1 tiny kicks
This may have occurred in England, but don't think for a second this nonsense doesn't happen here.
Today, you will trust a cop at your peril. Record them 100% of the time, if for no other reason than that is precisely what they do with you.
"I would also like to say we're not all like that, there are some good guys here who do the job properly."
Unfortunately, it only takes a few.
It's tyranny of the minority out there.
"I would also like to say we're not all like that, there are some good guys here who do the job properly."
"That is, move the cones without getting caught."
