Brickbat: Secret Agent Man

A Loudon County, Virginia, school bus took students to and from various locations for two days with explosive material in its engine compartment. The CIA accidentally left the explosive material in the bus after using it for a training exercise. Mechanics for the school system discovered the material during routine maintenance.

The CIA is re-evaluating its plan to introduce students to cocaine in an upcoming training exercise on police combat tactics against teen drug users.
I hear that Cocaine is a hell of a drug. And god less the DEA for keeping drugs out of the hands of college kids. Next thing you know some college kids might start abusing stimulants like coke, meth and adderall to help them on tests. God bless the DEA for keeping kids on the straight and narrow.
Damn the lack of an edit button, I meant "God bless."
If the explosive handling dogs are anything like drug detecting dogs, they will just fllip out on handler cues.
They won't get any actual useful info beyond what a handler has on a hunch.
Sorry, I'm not a big fan of dogs keeping us safe.
My puppy keeps me extra safe...I have the bacon and give the belly rubs
Looks like somebody wanted this field trip...Sunglasses...To go out with a bang.
OFFS we're calling grease monkeys technicians now?
Check your privilege.
Have you seen the computers they put on those damn things. If we call them mechanics then they'll just take wrenches to the electronics (like any proper sentient should do)
Next up,using a hospital for drone practice.
how did you find out about phase II? who told you and when?
As I recall from the first time I read about this the 'explosive material' was a dummy bomb, not really explosive.
If it were actual explosive, the story would be agents recklessly using real bombs for training.
It was actual explosive material (a putty), but without anything to set it off (like a blasting cap). It still doesn't reflect well on the CIA. Those guys are supposed to be professionals, yet they can't even remember to account for all their explosives at the end of an exercise?
We're going to need a neutral source to verify which story is correct, because I saw the same article southenboy did stating that it was just trace nitrates in an inert substrate.
The CIA: Explosively Stupid.
