"There have been misunderstandings throughout the day, and we have had to seek clarification," [FIVB spokesman Richard] Baker said, adding that the Iranian federation "has the best intentions but there are cultural issues".

The female fans were free to witness an alternate event happening down the street: the hanging of several teenage homosexuals.

Never trust anyone that won't allow you to drink beer or eat bacon. Two of life;s great pleasures.

      1. Mr Lizard   9 years ago

Never trust a creature who has not passed thermodynamics I

        1. Adans smith   9 years ago

          Like Bill Gates apparently.

          1. Mr Lizard   9 years ago

Actually he was at least smart enough not to waste money taking that course and many others

            1. Adans smith   9 years ago

Yeah, but he thinks you can replace oil in 15 years. He's trying to be greener then your skin.

              1. Mr Lizard   9 years ago

Ah yes I now recall hearing that on Prog Radio. In that case I standby my original statement.

You stooooopid mammals really should teach all of your hatchlings thermo, and basic plasma beam weapon safety (or whatever you twits call it.).

                1. MSimon   9 years ago

In my nuke power class (US Navy cira 1965) thermo washed out 50% of the class. I got top marks. #1 Daughter took thermo in college. She got top grades. Lovely girl. Smart too.

Thermo is hard. Thus you get Bill Gate's insanity.

                  1. Adans smith   9 years ago

Wind and solar and unicorns ,oh my!

Themo was hard, but way easier once you have gas dynamics. It fit in so much better to my intuitive understanding.

"...the Iranian federation "has the best intentions but there are cultural issues".

      Well, he is half right.

      1. Radioactive   9 years ago

...the Iranian Federation has the best cultural issues? Did I get the right half?

        1. Suthenboy   9 years ago

          Almost.

      2. d3x / dt3   9 years ago

        They meant well.

  2. Notorious UGCC   9 years ago

Yeah, the thing about women's beach volleyball...sorry, I forgot what I was going to say.

    1. Adans smith   9 years ago

      +1 beach babes

    2. MSimon   9 years ago

Son of a beach. THAT is a tasty link.

    3. egould310   9 years ago

On my jog this morning, I'll run past at least one of those lovely ladies' homes. Can't wait for the summer beach volleyball camps to start back up. It does make the beach run so much more interesting.

    4. dantheserene   9 years ago

If you like that, try a search on "women's beach life guard".

  3. Monty Crisco   9 years ago

I'm starting to think that maybe Islam is NOT the feminist ideal of religion that has been purveyed to me....

    1. Suthenboy   9 years ago

I think you have a misunderstanding of what the feminist movement is about.

    2. Lurker Kurt   9 years ago

Islam was at the forefront of the feminist movement...

      ...about 1300 years ago.

      It has slipped behind, lately.

  4. Tom Bombadil   9 years ago

    what
    did
    they
    expect?

    1. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

      Agreements honored?

      1. Adans smith   9 years ago

        Ha,AH Ha ,oh,your cereal?

    2. Libertarian   9 years ago

We can't trust them with cheesecake, but we're supposed to trust them with yellow cake?

      1. Fist of Etiquette   9 years ago

        Beefcake. It was men's volleyball.

        1. Libertarian   9 years ago

Sorry. Notorious's link above distracted me.

  5. The Hyperbole   9 years ago

How underhanded, these officials need to be served a set of spiked dinks, or otherwise bumped off, if you dig my point.

    1. Tom Bombadil   9 years ago

Hans Blix should send them a stern letter.

  6. Suthenboy   9 years ago

OT: Surveying the damage here. I guess I dodged a bullet. A tornado passed by just north of me yesterday evening. I was in town at the time and watched it on radar. Then I looked out the car window and saw one headed straight for me less than a mile away. Fortunately that one formed, did not touch down, and then dissipated very quickly. This morning around 3 am I looked out the window to see chairs and buckets and various junk flying around on the back porch. One of my cypress adirondac chairs is over 100 feet from the house. I see from the news not everyone was so lucky.

Heads up if you are on the east coast.

    1. Libertarian   9 years ago

You sure it was a tornado? Maybe it was just Trump's campaign headed to the southeast for Super Tuesday.

      1. Lee G   9 years ago

He's landing in Virginia Beach today. I expect torrential hairstorms.

    2. Radioactive   9 years ago

all courtesy of the Iranian Federation...they have intentions

  7. Florida Man   9 years ago

Iran has altered the deal. Pray towards Mecca they don't alter it further.

  8. Rufus The Monocled Derp Slayer   9 years ago

But Obama's deal was the starting point to opening them up!

'Misunderstanding' my ass. They intended this all along.

    The naivete is palpable.

    1. dantheserene   9 years ago

This sounds a lot like "negotiating" with North Korea.

  9. CreativePerks   9 years ago

I really love watching volleyball and I don't understand why these could be forbidden. I have lots of friends that play volleyball and they are really nice people that train pretty hard to achieve performance. One of them begun a volleyball specific workout and he is really excited because he has over 200 exercise video and also a nice nutrition program. Here is their website http://reids-workouts.com/
