California's Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District has banned any depictions of religious leaders. The move came after a parent complained about a seventh-grade lesson on the rise of Islam in which students were encouraged to draw images related to words such as "Quran," "Mecca" and "Muhammad."

The worksheet, Vocabulary Pictures: The Rise of Islam, listed words such as Quran, Mecca, Bedouins and Muhammad with spaces for students to draw pictures or images related to those words.

For an image related to Mohammed, the lad could have simply drawn the 11-year-old girl at the desk next to him.
