  2. lap83   10 years ago

The only reason I'd watch is to see if they do split screens between each candidate and Trump smirking at their comments from home, but even that isn't sufficiently motivating

    1. Rhywun   10 years ago

You heard he's live-tweeting it, right?

      1. lap83   10 years ago

I did hear that and I will be avoiding it like the plague

        1. Rhywun   10 years ago

          You're no fun.

          1. lap83   10 years ago

ok, I succumbed to peer pressure and peaked. He doesn't approve of the commercials. Lame. He could've at least said something about the hypocrisy of relying on capitalist funding methods for a debate between communists.

    NO!

    That is all!

  23. Suthenboy   10 years ago

Huh. I just looked at the Suderman article.

He wrote about the upcoming debate rather than condemning Israel for its horrific terroristic murder of a 24 yo Palestinian.

"A 13-year-old Jewish boy from Pisgat Ze'ev is in critical condition Monday after being stabbed nearly a dozen times by two teenage Palestinian terrorists in Jerusalem's Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood, marking the third terrorist attack in the capital in six hours.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the attack took place at approximately 3 p.m., when a 13-year-old Palestinian and a 17-year-old Palestinian armed with knives attacked the Jewish boy while he was riding his bicycle.

"Both terrorists stabbed the boy many times all over his body before a driver neutralized the 13-year-old terrorist by ramming his car into him," said Rosenfeld. "The other assailant then stabbed a 24-year-old Jewish man nearby before being shot dead by police."

I am surprised Suderman isnt all over this. Is Richman taking up the slack?

    I will go check.

    1. RBS   10 years ago

Um, when has Suderman ever been on the CONDEMN ISRAEL train?

"I love Denmark." Somewhere an Anders shivers.

    2. Win Bear   10 years ago

Sanders ideas about the rest of the world are utterly naive. Most Americans would scream bloody murder if they had to live under the restrictions, with the high taxes, and the low incomes that Europeans have to live under.

  40. Tonio   10 years ago

    Sandinistas...

    And moving right along.

  41. Rebel Scum   10 years ago

Psh. The thing that is immoral and wrong is using the governments guns to coerce some people to subsidize the existence of other people. The initiation of force is immoral, Bernie. That is all.

    Save Capitalism from itself...

  43. Mrs. Lemuel Struthers   10 years ago

    So, ole Bern' isn't a commie, he's a fascist?

    1. Win Bear   10 years ago

A true socialist would want to get rid of private property, but that never would fly with Sanders' middle class voters. Of course, Sanders is a fascist: he advocates private property with strong government regulations, plus a certain degree of "America for Americans".

Fascists tend to like to pay lip service to socialism; after all, national socialists didn't call themselves "national socialists" for nothing.

      Epi's Mom. Duh.

"It's not easy," as Marty sez...

    2. Hyperion   10 years ago

I'm on the inside at WaPo.

I have to say that the 'retards' are winning.

      1. Tonio   10 years ago

OK, so both your mom and Epi's mom?

        1. Hyperion   10 years ago

And Tonio's grandma. It's a total wrinkle orgy!

  50. Tonio   10 years ago

    2. Quincy.   10 years ago

  57. Crusty Juggler   10 years ago

I would carry Jim Webb's pistol, I can tell you that.

    1. Tonio   10 years ago

    2. Mrs. Lemuel Struthers   10 years ago

      What are you, a fag?

      1. Crusty Juggler   10 years ago

  63. Fist of Etiquette   10 years ago

  68. Rebel Scum   10 years ago

A well-regulated militia (trained/functioning), being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people (citizens who have not voided their right via previous violent behavior) to keep (own/possess) arms (tools intended for fighting) shall not be infringed (hindered/violated).

    1. Rebel Scum   10 years ago

And Webb should be familiar with this, unlike the current governor...

Section 13. Militia; standing armies; military subordinate to civil power.
That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

In Swahili, karibu means "welcome". My guess is it it derived from the Arabic word for "soon".

They want real change in this country, so vote Democratic again.

      1. american socialist   10 years ago

Real change will only come when we vote for an anti-choice militaristic douchebag Republican--again.

        1. LynchPin1477   10 years ago

Gee, if only there was a political philosophy centered around individual choice and peace...

          1. american socialist   10 years ago

Eh, doesn't libertarianism mean bitching about the size of government and then voting for some right-wing Republican who wants to stick 100,000 troops in the ME? I guess everyone has their flaws.

            1. LynchPin1477   10 years ago

No, that is not what it means.

I get that your a socialist and unlikely to agree with libertarians on any economic issues, but are you really going to agree with Clinton on more issues overall? I would think you'd align pretty well with libertarians on social issues and foreign policy. So, why not consider voting for a libertarian candidate?

              1. american socialist   10 years ago

Who says I won't? If bernie sanders is the candidate I'll vote for him-- enthusiastically. If HRC, who I think did well tonight, wins I'll probably vote Peace and Freedom, Green, or Libertarian.

Don't worry. No one will turn down a vote just 'cause it's from an imbecile too stupid to understand what he's voted for.

          1. Hyperion   10 years ago

Elite, it's a beautiful and interesting game, but getting the controls where you want them, using K&M, is a big challenge. I'm looking at getting a HOTAS.

I'm currently playing at 1920x1080 with all the setting maxed and getting around 100 FPS avg, just above that actually. That's with GTX 970 SLI for GPU.

I want to try 1440 and 4k, but right now I'm just trying to survive while learning the game, especially the controls setup, so I'm sticking with the highest FPS I can get.

            1. Hyperion   10 years ago

Oh, and I've been told that the game is not too demanding and that people are able to play the game on their laptops. Not sure what the exact specs are for minimum, just look on Steam, they have it posted there.
