Get Yer Digital Subscription to Reason Right the Hell Now!
For $15-$10 for current print subscribers-you'll get early access to the print mag, and access to all Reason content since 1968!

Do you know what digital subscribers to Reason have that the rest of you don't? For starters, full online access to the brand-spanking new October issue of the magazine, including Katherine Mangu-Ward's great & provocative cover story "Plastic Bags Are Good for You," Science Correspondent Ronald Bailey's reasons for environmental optimism ("The End of Doom"), Zach Weissmueller's Q&A with a scientist who's trying to un-extinct animals ("Jurassic Pigeon"), and much, much more. This digital access comes several days before the print mag arrives in your mailbox.
BUT THAT'S TOTALLY NOT ALL. Digital subscribers also get said instantenous access across a variety of mobile and desktop-friendly formats, including regular text web pages at Reason.com, their choice of two interactive "flip style" digital readers, and downloadable PDF files. I don't even know what half of that means, that's how awesome it is!
Best of all, digital sub'ers get access to ALL 47 YEARS OF REASON ARCHIVES.
Gosh, that must cost a lot, right? BZZZZZT! Costs $15 a year, or $10 if you already subscribe to the print magazine.
You won't be sorry. Digitally subscribe right the hell now!

Why only back to 1968? What are you trying to hide?
I'll buy one if you, just once that I can see, where the topic links are at the top of the HnR page, you put "Mexicans" "Pot" and "Ass-Sex"
I wonder if those are auto-generated based on how many posts contain those tags? They'd have to go back a re-tag a ton of posts (not saying they shouldn't!)
Or they could just let them link to Immigration, Marijuana, and Gay Rights.
Who is the centerfold?
Lobster Girl's Mexican cousin
God, I hope the whole magazine isn't written in awful millenial-speak.
Ep!c leet!
...or $10 if you already subscribe to the print magazine.
It should be free for those of us who are digital (i.e. online) superstars here. Anyway, that ten spot is coming out of the next webathon donation.
I get digital & print b/c of my webathon donation.
I believe the webathon donation comes with a subscription, too.
It's still coming out.
If I subscribe do I get any relief from the pop-up ads?
Running Adblocker on Firefox took care of them for me.
OT: Dance with the Devil or swim the Deep Blue Sea?: Ted Rall vs the LAPD - a cartoonist who supports dictators past and present who retaliate against critical journalists objects to the government retaliating against him for being critical. Irony of the finest vintage...

Just curious (I don't follow Rall) - which dictators does he support?
He's a regular on RT, which is effectively a Russian propaganda tool - and we all know how well journos who question the government fare over there. And he's often pining for a Revolutionary Strong Man, also playing the Ostologie and Soviet apologetics games. And a flat-out socialist himself.
Is there a way to get the digital issues not from the major online outlets? Downloading my reason issues is what allowed Amazon to sneak into my Kindle and kill the jailbreak.
I downloaded mine by logging into the Reason website. I was on an Android device so went to the Download file to open it, I was given an option as to which program to use. I used Kindle but pdf was another option.
That's one hell of a deal, Matt!

Not if you're going to talk to me with that commode mouth.
Hold the phone! Wouldn't I be putting money into the pockets of the evil Koch brothers?? I read on the internets that they are the primary cause of all the world's pain and suffering. And I hear they made the baby Jesus cry...
There's no sugarcoating it, he's one of the more memorable commentators.
^^this
And a spelling-bee champion (little-known fact)
I have a vague recollection of the sugarcoating meme...WTF was that from? Some dumb shit Obama said?
Yep, on the Obamacare website:
"There's no sugarcoating it," he said. "The website has been too slow, people are getting stuck during the application process. And I think it's fair to say that nobody is more frustrated by that than I am." He later added, "Nobody is madder than me about the fact that the website is not working as well as it should, which means it's gonna get fixed."

There's no sugarcoating it - the PPACA is still a topic of discussion in the US.
There is still no sugarcoating it. That website is less than optimal to this day.
A spilling be champagne.
