Watch Peter Suderman on MSNBC's Up With Steve Kornacki
I'll be on MSNBC's Up With Steve Kornacki this morning for multiple segments between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. ET. Most of the discussion will revolve around the 2016 election, and may include topics such as Hillary Clinton's emails, Rand Paul's campaign, the week in Trump, and the upcoming GOP debate. Tune in!

"Of course, there is no federal money that goes towards performing abortions."
Funds are fungible.
A point I made manyl times here and any Reason writer should know.
Well, that quote was from what appeared to be a fervent Planned Parenthood supporter.
If Christians don't want to have abortions nobody is forcing them to have abortions.
This just in: millions of tax dollars isn't a lot of money to Peter Suderman.
When will they fire these wealthy journalists and hire an everyman to speak for libertarianism?
Note to Suderman: Skinny fit suits are a bad investment. You'll be lucky if you don't become too fat to wear it before it goes out of style. Simple two-button suits are timeless. (Until we all switch to those shiny silver space jump suits, but that's at least another decade away.)
Suderman should start sporting the "short suit," which is perfect for those humid, DC/New York summer days.
Wearing a short suit is like being blown by a guy... it feels great, but then you look down and realize you're gay.
Benghazi film? Considering it's got no chance for a happy ending, I can't imagine.
Ha, she's concerned that it's military contractors as starring characters.
I refuse to watch, but I am curious, is Suderman shilling for Cankles? Or Sanders?
Suderman is chilling for Hildog.
Code for 'soft shilling'?
I figured Suderman to be more of a Sanders type.
Nah, Suderman's a international socialist, not a nationalist one.
OT: via Balko's twitter (quintessential for those of us who enjoy getting pounded in the sac), Teens Knock On Wrong Door, Cop Shoots At Them With Laser-Sighted Pistol
I guess this guy was worried Walter White was at his front door.
Once they go home safe at night they have to stay safe so they can come home safe the next night.
Once they go home safe at night they have to stay safe so they can come home safe the next night.
One of the other side is lying their asses off.
I am beginning to think that body cameras for everyone is a sound idea. You never know when you are going to step in shit and a video can be a hell of a good way to clean your shoes.
*note - my father has cameras for his car. That has saved his ass twice, once from a ticket and once from being blamed for causing an accident. He says that the instant the cops notice the camera their attitude and actions change dramatically.
This metro bus driver agrees. Unfortunately for the officers involved, the driver was black so the city might actually take action.
Also, no one was killed so that also increases the chance that the city will do something.
Metro, on the other hand, is thinking of banning body cameras after this incident. A strange response to your drivers when they're catching officers harassing their drivers-- and the cops lying about it.
Not that strange. They see that cameras tell the truth, or at least what is seen, and make it harder to spin a narrative. It only happens that that time it was to their driver's advantage. Next time it could be a driver actually doing something wrong and ending up as the lead story on the 5 o'clock news.
It isn't strange. Bus Metro driver's union and cop union both agree on this: "They see that cameras tell the truth, or at least what is seen, and make it harder to spin a narrative."
If it's as the cop says, why would he a) open the door and b) not call 911 first?
And yet...
The kids should be thanking their lucky stars that he's either a lousy/drunk/disoriented shot or didn't bother to zero his laser sights.
This once again proves why we shouldn't allow guns in the hands of private citizens.
Dammit! I knew there had to be a downside to insisting that cops were civilians too.
Shooter is claiming the victims almost ran him over with their car. Most likely a lie but it's possible he came running out and jumped in front of the car as the victims tried to flee the gunfire. Either way, it means the shooter will likely get a citation for bravery.
Also of note: One of the "burglars" identified himself by name to the homeowner when asked through the door who they were.
That happens a lot.
Its sort of like the guy last night who opened the door to the police and said, "hay! I'm Gay!!" before they started beating the shit out of him and calling him a fag.
Could the victims have even gotten their car up the carriage road TO the mansion? Let alone through the Iron Gates?
That house, in that area, is probably worth $500,000, which I mention just because of the oddity of a state trooper six years out of the academy living there (obviously, he could have married a wife with a real job).
Why has no one pointed out the fact that the State Trooper lives in Tony Soprano's mansion?
Is that a mansion to you people? You're so cute. Libertopia will treat you guys very well.
Considering how the last knock on that home's door was answered, I'd say that reporter was fortunate.
Also of note: This reporter identifies the teens but refuses to identify the shooter.
Helicopters. Plural.
From here.
If the teens were one mile down the road in a vehicle with a shot-out tire, how long he follow them?
Lower standards. If I'm shooting at an intruder after he's left my house, and I'm chasing him down the road, if I kill him-- I go to jail for murder.
Lower standards for police. QED
Given New Jersey's past, the most likely outcome from this case: desk duty.
Cops are people whose life goal is to shoot someone.
