Police in Merseyside, England, have agreed to pay £5,000 to settle a false arrest claim by George Wilson. Wilson was arrested for giving a homeless man £1 by a police officer who thought it was a drug deal.

He was stopped by an officer and detained under the Misuse of Drugs Act. As his phone was removed, the officer accidentally switched it to record audio.

The officer subsequently arrested himself and roughed himself up for interfering with himself by recording his public actions.

More to the point, doesn't charity make a person feel good JUST LIKE DRUGS DO? I say the kid should have been arrested. Valid arrest.
