Churchill Academy in North Somerset, England, placed Stan Lock, 13, in isolation from other students after he shaved his head for charity. Officials said his shaved head did not meet the school's dress and grooming code and told him he'd remain in isolation until his hair grew out. But after news of the suspension spread, the school's headmaster said he would "review" the punishment.

I think isolating a student from his peers for breaking a dress or grooming code is excessive. Why not sternly address his infraction, meet with his parents, go over the codes, and encourage student and parents to avoid future infractions?
