Brickbat: Teach the Children Well

Just 19 of the 594 students in Paterson, New Jersey, schools who took the SAT this year scored at the level considered college ready by the College Board. Last year, just 26 students had a college-ready score on the test. Officials with the Paterson school district say they no longer use SAT scores to measure a student's success.

Less competition for my offspring.
Depends on their Affirmative Action status.
If you look up White Privilege in the the dictionary you'll find our family portrait.
You'll find us under Patriarchy as well.
What about Cis Shitlord?
Goes without saying
My kid is so white, he glows in the dark. Put a light behind him and you can see it. All limbs in place, no transgender desires. When it's time to apply for college, he's fucked.
And that my friend is why we roll with it.

That's sad, they can't even teach to the test?
Hrmmm... usually that means knowing what will be on said test.
Can we sit these teachers down for the SATs and see what their scores come out to today?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
As sage might say.
Anti-Semitic : Nazis :: __________ : College Board
(a) racist
(b) hemophobic
(c) Eurocentric
(d) all of the above
Hemophobic? Yes, the College Board is afraid of blood. B.
As an Abbott District, they measure success by how well they can use students to squeeze more money out of the state.
New Jersey excels at this it would seem.
The average salary in Vermont is 53k? Doing what?
Smuggling Syrup from Canukistan, cutting it with Vermont submaple and reselling it to points south.
Sarc is a syrup mule, isn't he?
I buy my maple syrup at BJ's.
Where do you buy your BJs?
Yup. And the fact that these students continue to fail just means we need to spend even MOAR MONEY!!11!!!
But of course! If they used any kind of actual academic achievement as a measure of success they might have to admit (if only to themselves) that thy ought to be fired for ostentatious incompetence. And maybe tarred and feathered as well.
Maybe?
Bullshit.
GreatSchools, demographic information. That's why these kids are doing so poorly. Teachers have precisely shit to do with it.
the Paterson school district said that they no longer use SAT scores to gauge students' success.
Serious question: What *is* used as a gauge? Attendance?
19 of the 594 Paterson students who took the SATs this year had scores that met the "college-ready" criteria
Perhaps the rest used a "Number 2" pencil.
I find it shocking that more than 500 students were willing to give up a Saturday morning to take a test that they certainly knew they were incapable of passing with college level marks. "Back in the day" my school probably had a 80-90% pass rate because students themselves knew whether or not they were interested in going to college.
How would they know? The evidence here strongly suggest that their teachers have been passing out As and gold stars with a lavish hand.
Yesterday I picked up a brand new Lotus Esprit after making $6059 this ? 4 weeks past an would you believe $10 thousand this past-month; this is actually the most-comfortable work I've had . I actually started 10-months ago and pretty much immediately got minimum $80 per-hr . Get More Info @

What's the libertarian dog in this fight? We should engage in mass exiles and deportations to change the demographics so groups with higher IQ comprise majorities in Paterson's schools?
That seems harsh to me, but to be clear, that's the proposal here, yeah?
