Obama: 'Trying to Seal Off' West Africa Could Make Ebola Woes Worse
"This is a serious disease, but we can't given in to hysteria or fear."
President Barack Obama on Saturday urged Americans to avoid hysteria over Ebola, and played down the idea of travel bans from Ebola-ravaged countries in West Africa, explaining that restrictions could make things worse.
Lawmakers this week urged Obama to bar people from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea from entering the United States. Obama has said he is not philosophically opposed to travel bans, but in his weekly address made it clear that he is not leaning toward them.

Just 10 more news days to get through before the elections are over and he can do as he pleases.
More Obama DREAMERs. Looks like they were taking out other DREAMERS.

Your friend's mother is like a barber chair; one man is out another is in.

Yeah. Well myself, I'm sorta leaning towards impeachment.
How much more before someone says this pathetic excuse of a President needs to be removed--by force if necessary? He is making Carter look like a superhero.
Treason would be the word that needs to be used. Fraudulently and deliberately propagating a health care agenda that turned out to be a complete lie. Proven by his own video.
Deliberately and knowingly propagating the illegal activity of allowing foreign invaders through our southern border.GOP you can walk to the same gallows on that one as well.
Disregarding the threat of Islam. Neglecting the defense of our country. Well done handling ISIS Barry. You are showing the world how weak you really are.
Deliberately and knowingly creating racial tensions, using your Attorney General to disregard law for political correctness as he did with the dismissal of the case against the Black Panthers. Misuse of your IRS to target conservatives. And your NSA. Absolute defiance of the U.S. Constitution.
And now disregarding the threat of ebola, using it as a political ploy and deliberately placing our country in danger. Deliberately putting someone in charge who is not qualified nor interested in solving a grave epidemic which may come to the U.S. in mass numbers. Disregard for safety of your people in lieu of political agenda.
You shouldn't face impeachment Barry--you should be in front of a firing squad.

Obama doesn't dare back track:
1) Travel ban clamor allows Dems to insinuate racism.
2) Travel bans imply border control is useful and possible.
3) He would look like a flip-flopper.
The fact is that we could stop issuing tourist visas and cut back on travel while still allowing business and other vital travel.
It should be noted that when you check the US embassy websites in Monrovia, Conakry, and Freetown, that the embassies seem to be issuing visa, except in Freetown, where the website claims they have "technical issues" and cannot issue visas since August 14. (I'm thinking that Ambassador has set up his own visa ban via this computer glitch.)
Everyone knows the USA is still an open frontier begging to be populated via unbridled mass immigration. In the morning I plan to carve me out a small 160 acre parcel to put my homestead on.
I'm opposed to travel bans but I have to ask, have we ever gotten anything positive from a visitor from West Africa? It's a real shithole.
