Jennifer Lawrence Says Fappening Hacking Was 'Sex Crime'
"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime."
"I was just so afraid. I didn't know how this would affect my career."
That's just the beginning of what Jennifer Lawrence has to say about her stolen-photos saga in the cover story of Vanity Fair's November issue, the digital edition of which will be available Wednesday, October 8, and which hits newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on Thursday, October 9. …
Lawrence also addresses the legal ramifications of the hack. "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime," she tells Kashner. "It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That's why these Web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside."

"I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside" Says that vapid Hollywoodite who was caught with nudes of herslef on her pc/phone.
Exactly. If you don't want a bunch of guys on the internet to spank it to naked pictures of you, you should never be naked. At least, that's what I tell my lady tenants whenever one of them discovers the cameras I put in their showers. It hasn't worked yet as an argument, but I've got plenty more space in the backyard.
"If you don't want a bunch of guys on the internet to spank it to naked pictures of you, you should never be naked" You got close, but then you went full retard.
You must be new here. It's called a "joke". You may have heard of them? We make them a lot around here.
H&R is the city of of failed Kwisatz Haderach candidates.
You know what you look like naked. Your significant other knows what you look like naked (I assume). Why photograph it on your phone? Particularly a phone you carry with you and could be stolen...
It's baffling. It shows that people are really not all that savvy with their gadgets and are simply buying them for the status bump. When you don't know what your device is doing, you shouldn't trust someone else to keep your secrets (we've seen that with the NSA.)
SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SING SOMETHING
I'm still waiting for photo-realistic VR sex simulations of famous people, scifi told me they were just around the corner 20 years ago.
The audiovisual side of things should be in place within the next year or two (if it isn't already). The tactile side -- I guess it depends on how much fidelity you're looking for.
I've been thinking about the prospect of haptic gloves based on coiled PVDF/polypyrrole-nylon artificial muscles, or some other EAP. If you could get a high-fidelity sense of touch in your hands, between that, the right... peripherals, and good audio-visual, you'd be about as close as anyone really needs to be.
Unlikely- it will be a derivatized polyaniline, not polypyrrole. Changes color after you jizz because of the pH shift.
That won't ever happen in the West.
Have you missed that whole gamergate stuff? Video games are now pretty much the domain of social justice warriors. It's been true for some time, but now people are realizing it.
OTOH, Japan is another story. However, that's held back by the limited popularity of PC gaming there - mobile, handhelds, and even consoles are more popular, but are censored by the company owning those platforms.
Can't wait for my Lucy Liubot.
Guilty as charged...
If this is a sex crime than what is rape? This brings to mind orwell's idea of redefining words into meaninglessness
Sex crime does not = rape.
For once, I am in agreement with the feminists. Which is odd, because I totally went out and looked for every picture of Jennifer Lawrence when this happened.
That said, if you snuck into someones house and took pictures of them naked or in a public restroom, that would be a sex crime. No one would question that.
As libertarians, we argue all the time that people have the right to privacy in their personal effects.
Yes, maybe she should have been more cautious. That doesn't make her in the wrong in anyway.
Yeah, all the free publicity sucks bro. It destroyed Kim Kardashian
Comically, videos and pictures of her were released, and no one batted an eye. I think she was just proud of it.
A lot of the violated actresses have already gone nude publicly. It still doesn't change the fact that they were violated. Obviously not physically. They were not raped.
jennifer lawrence: calm the f**k down.
