Brickbat: Scaring Children

In Michigan, security officers stopped Lt. Col. Sherwood Baker from accompanying his daughter into Rochester Adams High School unless he changed out of his army uniform. They reportedly told him special education students might "go crazy" if they saw someone in uniform. Rochester Community Schools Superintendent Robert Shafer later apologized to Baker and denied the school has any policy banning men and women in uniform.

Meh, so the guy was actually delayed five minutes by some bonehead security guard the school contracted.
Hopefully the security guards went ahead and called them spazzes.

Has Oliver ever once corrected a post? I'm beginning to suspect he's a bot.
He has to be. Like four years ago the DAILY part was a lie but now...like clockwork.
Thank god he wasn't carrying a cake!!
Someone left my cake out in the rain. 🙁
I'm wondering if this isn't so much anti-military as it is about camo=assault weapon=INTRUDER=lockdown=OHMYGOD we're all going to die!
They should be more worried about black cloth and "SWAT" labels than camo...
I'm sure they don't care about the school cops' uniforms.
My guess is that the security guard was an ex-enlisted guy and he took the opportunity to fuck with a zero.
Here near the WV ohio border,a dad in camo is pretty common.Hell,I've seen guy at dinner,or shopping in the mall dressed that way.In deer season I think is'ts mandatory.
Ah, but was the *security guard* wearing a uniform?
Depends if school-logo'd windbreaker meets your definition of uniform
That high school has- count them, FOUR security personnel. And it appears, as is usually the case, not a single one of them have a brain.
At least the superintendent was appalled and disgusted and apologized.
Meh. Dagone Army dogs are a bunch of pukes anyway. Nasty Army wearing their cammies out in public. Decent branches of the military keep that uniform on base.
