Tea Party Backed Candidate Defeats Former Libertarian Presidential Candidate Bob Barr in Georgia Congressional Primary

State Sen. Barry Loudermilk (R-District 14), who was endorsed by FreedomWorks, defeated former Republican congressman and 2008 Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr for the Republican nomination in the race in Georgia's 11th congressional district in tonight's primary run-off.

The AP called the race earlier tonight and according to the Georgia Secretary of State's office Loudermilk currently (10:10p.m.) has a 2-to-1 lead with 1 in 4 counties reporting.
