Snow Storm Hits Northeast, Thousands of Flights Canceled
States of emergency in New York, New Jersey
A winter storm that is bringing more snow, freezing rain and ice to the Northeast Wednesday has already forced the cancellations of thousands of flights after causing similar havoc in the Midwest on Tuesday.
Anywhere from a few inches to a foot or more of snow is expected to fall on East Coast states, and some are getting the freezing rain that makes driving treacherous. It's the area's second go-round since Monday, when many communities were battered by wet, heavy snow.
