Clinton and Christie Tied in 2016 Poll
Christie 48 percent, Clinton 46 percent
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The 2016 presidential race could be a neck-and-neck battle between Hillary Clinton and Chris Christie, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll.
The poll said that 48 percent of registered voters would back Christie, the GOP governor of New Jersey, while Mrs. Clinton, the former Democratic first lady, U.S. senator from New York and secretary of state, would get 46 percent.
The poll did not test the popularity of another top Northeast Democrat mentioned as a White House contender: New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Christie's 2-point margin was within the poll's margin of error.
