NM Teacher Who Said Santa Was White Put on Leave
All this nonsense over a Coca-Cola mascot
A suburban Albuquerque teacher who told a black student that Santa Claus is white has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Rio Rancho school district spokeswoman Kim Vesely confirmed the punishment Monday to Albuquerque television stations KOAT and KOB. But she didn't say for how long, and she couldn't immediately be reached for further comment Tuesday.
The teacher's comments came week after students at Cleveland High School were told they could come to class dressed as Santa, an elf or a reindeer.

Reality to teacher:
It's an imaginary being; it's whatever makes kids happy. It is not a screen onto which you project your biases
Then again:
A real living teacher has been placed on real life actual leave with real life consequences over a comment made about an imaginary being's imaginary skin tone.
Nothing protects the children's happiness like showing them that non-conformity to political correctness carries very serious penalties.
