Alec Baldwin Criticizing MSNBC For Canceling His Show
Points out that Martin Bashir is still around despite his comments about Sarah Palin
Alec Baldwin is criticizing his now former employer MSNBC for ending his show while keeping Martin Bashir on air.
"Martin Bashir's on the air, and he made his comment on the air!" Baldwin told Gothamist.
Earlier this month, Bashir called former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin "a world class idiot" because she made a comparison to slavery while discussing U.S. debt to China. He then read an excerpt from the diary of a former plantation manager who wrote of forcing one slave to "S-H-I-T" in another slave's mouth. He apologized on the air on his next show and continued hosting regularly until he took a "pre-planned vacation" this week.
