38 were arrested or written citations, nearly 2 million see video

The "Broadway Bomb" is an annual event where skateboarders race down Broadway in New York City. Last year's "official" event was canceled because of a court order according to the Broadway Bomb website. Nevertheless it appears to have continued, with this year's event, which happened last month, leading to the arrest or summons of 38 participants by the NYPD and a hilarious attempt by cops to stop the skateboarders, which you can watch below, set to appropriate music:

Yakkity Sax was playing automatically in my head without me having to put on the headphones.
Yeah, I had it going in my head before even starting the video as well:) That was the obvious choice for a bunch of clowns.
Count me in on that one. Just too good to pass up.
Hahahaha!!! Stupid pigs bumbling around with their stupid red ribbon. Fuck 'em!
I'm going to start drinking and go watch the Raiders.
Few things warm my heart more on a cold Sunday morning than seeing cops made into fools.
I would caution NY residents to keep their dogs in safe places for the next few days - there's gonna be some pissed off police roaming the streets.
Oops! It happened last month (not yesterday as I assumed). Hope your dogs survived, New Yorkers.
Is it illegal to skateboard on the street in NYC?
Through traffic? Probably.
Even if there's no law, you'll be disrupting something or other in a something or other.
If a cop wants to jam you, they've got a law.
Is it illegal to skateboard on the street in NYC?
If a cop tells you it's illegal, then yes. Under penalty of death.
Think of the man hours paid to these fat fuckers. That's probably 20k in salaries and benefits to hold up a ribbon and inconvenience drivers and skateboarders. There's nothing left to cut!!!!
That video should be used everywhere you try to explain exactly how incompetent government is.
It's pretty impressive how much stupidity you can cram into an organization consisting of a measly few tens of thousands of cops. This is not an organization that very often makes it into the headlines because of their competence.
lol Benny Hill music will never fail make blatant wastes of stolen money funny as hell.
