Husband of Jailed Pussy Riot Member Says He Hasn't Been Able To Contact Her in Two Weeks
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova is serving two years for hooliganism
MOSCOW — The husband of imprisoned Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova is complaining that he hasn't been able to contact her for more than two weeks as she is transferred to a new prison.
Tolokonnikova is serving two years for hooliganism after the band's politically provocative 2012 performance in Moscow's main cathedral. She went on a hunger strike to protest prison conditions in September, and she was hospitalized. The prison directorate said last week that she was being moved to a new prison colony.
