Things have not been going so smoothly for the White House in recent days. But as Gene Healy points out, bad news for President Obama is often good news for the American people. For instance, thanks to Obama's blunders over Syria, the "Obama Doctrine" — or at least that part of the president's muddled foreign policy philosophy that favors humanitarian "wars of choice" — is finished. "Tomahawk humanitarianism" has had its day. The Libyan precedent won't be repeated — and it's a good thing, too.
