Weiner Ends Mayoral Effort by Flipping the Bird to Crowd
Stay classy
Talk about going out with a bang. The last image New York City had of former Rep. Anthony Weiner as he drove from his primary election night party — a loser in the mayoral race — was his middle finger, held high in his passenger-side window.
Democrat Bill de Blasio took the primary and will head off against Republican Joe Lhota in the November election for mayor.
The primary brings to end a rather odd campaign for Mr. Weiner, marked by sexting scandals and bravado statements, arguments with constituents and shouting matches with television news hosts.
