White House Imposes Gun Restrictions by Executive Order
Or imperial decree, if you will
One Obama order, the White House said, will close a loophole that allowed felons and other people prohibited by federal law from purchasing a gun by registering it to a corporation or a trust.
The White House said more than 39,000 requested to register a gun to a corporation or a trust last year.
Obama's second order will stop authorization that allows the re-importation of military-grade firearms that had been sold to allies or given as military assistance.
The White House said the government has approved requests to re-import more than 250,000 military-grade firearms since 2005.

Oyez! Oyez! Hear the Royal Decree!
SECOND AMENDMENT??
We ain't got no SECOND AMENDMENT!! I DON'T HAVE TO SHOW YOU NO STINKING SECOND AMENDMENT!!
The only firearms that I'm aware of that that can be purchased by a trust are NFA firearms.
So, there's apparently a significant number of felons purchasing short barrel rifles, shotguns, AOWs and/or machine guns and paying the $200 ($5 for AOW) tax? Doubtful.
It's still illegal for the person to possess them though.
This is about letting anti-gun chief law enforcement officers continue to stall or oppose the nonsensical CLEO signoff portion of NFA transfers.
