NJ Senate Agree to Christie's Conditions for Kids' Medical Marijuana
The governor insisted that edible marijuana be forbidden to adults
The New Jersey Senate was nearly unanimous Monday in approving conditions imposed by Gov. Christie before he would sign a bill easing children's access to medical marijuana.
The vote was 34-1.
On Friday, the governor conditionally vetoed the bill, saying he would sign it only if lawmakers agreed to make several changes. Among them, Christie agreed to allow edible cannabis - which currently is prohibited - but wants it to be available only to minors.
