Installation of Solar Panels on the White House Has Begun
Obama pledged in 2010 that he would have the panels installed
WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- The U.S. government said the three-year wait was over and a solar panel installation has started on the roof of the White House.
An official at the White House confirmed to the Washington Post on condition of anonymity the installation was in progress as "a part of an energy retrofit that will improve the overall energy efficiency of the building."
