Spitzer Has 19-Point Lead in NYC Comptroller Primary
Weiner must be jealous
Former New York governor Eliot Spitzer has claimed a 19-point lead against Manhattan borough president Scott Stringer in the Democratic primary for the New York City comptroller race, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.
The poll also showed a strong 47-point lead among black voters, whom Spitzer has targeted largely in the outer boroughs. And while the melees following Spitzer's 2008 prostitution scandal cast doubt on whether or not he would be able to gain the confidence of women voters, Spitzer currently has a 18-point lead among them.
The jump comes two days after a Siena College poll found that 68 percent of New York State voters viewed Spitzer and mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner's attempts at a comeback "embarrassing. The Siena College poll, however, surveyed state voters though both elections are limited to the city.

…”68 percent of New York State voters viewed Spitzer and mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner’s attempts at a comeback “embarrassing.”…
98% of dems find “embarrassing” candidates just fine.
I don’t understand how he gets away with it. Eliot Spitzer broke the law while enforcing it, used prostitutes while he was prosecuting them and sending them to jail. The vast majority of the African-American community are law abiding citizens and want their public officials to uphold the Law. Spitzer doesn’t fit in that category. Black voters, like anyone else, want someone in public office who supports their interests as a community. But Eliot Spitzer favors New York’s “Stop and Frisk” policy which the police use an excuse for stopping and harassing mostly young black people for Being Black. WTF?
