Dozens Killed After Egyptian Security Forces Storm Pro-Morsi Camps, State of Emergency Declared

Earlier today Egyptian security forces stormed camps in Cairo set up by Pro-Morsi demonstrators.

Egyptian security forces have moved in to clear two protest camps occupied by supporters of deposed president Mohammed Morsi in Cairo, with reports of many killed.

The Muslim Brotherhood said more than 100 died, but the authorities put the death toll much lower.

State TV showed armoured bulldozers moving deep into the main camp outside the eastern Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque.

Although the Muslim Brotherhood claimed that over 100 people were killed in the clashes the Egyptian health ministry says that 56 have been killed and that 526 have been injured across Egypt. Egyptian authorities have declared a state of emergency in response to the violence.

Egyptian authorities have declared a state of emergency as violent clashes between supporters of deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi and the military that ousted him spread across the country Wednesday, killing dozens in a push to remove protesters from numerous points throughout Cairo.

Turkey's president, who is not a fan of the coup that overthrew Morsi, has described the crackdown on protesters as "completely unacceptable."

Question: how is what Egypt did different then Tianemen Square?

I think people have in mind that the protesters in China have a different idea of good & bad than the ones in Egypt. They may be right. But Kissinger may also have been right to point out that any gov't would do about the same if their capital were similarly occupied. Bonus marchers, etc.

So when does it become reasonable for Israel to take over the Sinai again? If they keep launching rockets from there I imagine it would get hard to keep people from wanting to do that.
