WikiLeaks: Snowden Hasn't Yet Accepted Asylum in Venezuela
Earlier reports premature
WikiLeaks says its fellow secret-spiller, Edward Snowden, hasn't yet formally accepted asylum in Venezuela.
Earlier today, a prominent Russian lawmaker tweeted that Snowden had, in fact, accepted that offer -- but the posting was deleted a few minutes later. The lawmaker later said his claim was based on a report from an all-news TV station. But the station says the lawmaker misunderstood its report last night, and that it hasn't reported that Snowden has agreed to go to Venezuela.
Snowden has applied for asylum in a number of countries, and it's not clear just how easy it would be for him to travel to South America from Moscow, where he's still believed to be holed up in the airport.

I'm noticing that a lot of Left-heavy media sources like AP and Reuters have been all but outright proclaiming Snowden's arrival in Venezuela and/or Cuba. I myself still don't buy that Snowden fled the U.S. to seek asylum in a country that doesn't even bother masking it's totalitarianism.
Call me crazy, but I can't help but wonder if it's not an attempt to goad Republican types into turning on him.
And isn't going to http://www.el-nacional.com/buscador/?text=
I've got a feeling that Assange II, aka Snowden is going to have trouble finding a new land with or without the Jester causing trouble for everyone who even considers providing him a hiding place.
Is there any reason my link is being censored?
