Man in Thailand Claims to be "Hero From Outer Space," Hijacks Bus
Tries to leave Planet Earth
Police say a Suphan Buri man who claimed to be a "superhero" from a destroyed planet hijacked a passenger bus late on Saturday night and drove it out of the city in the hope he could return to space, leaving a trail of damage along the way.
They said Phummarin Phaensombun's "mission to leave planet Earth" was put to an end after he rammed the bus into an 18-wheel trailer truck and was arrested in Ayutthaya's Wang Noi district by police who set up a blockade on Phahon Yothin Road.
