Distrust of Government Praised by Sen. Ron Johnson
And by anybody with sense
As Republicans try to figure out how to court voting groups they've spent the last several decades alienating, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson fired up religious conservatives Thursday with talk of throwing government under the bus.
"When I hear politicians talk about restoring faith in government, no, no, no, no, no. That is the wrong solution," he told those gathered at the Faith and Freedom Coalition's Road to Majority conference. "We need to engender that healthy distrust, that healthy distrust, that our founders found with government."
