US Surgeon General to Step Down
We still have those?
Surgeon General Regina Benjamin has announced that she plans to step down from her post, which she has held since 2009.
Deputy Surgeon General Boris Lushniak will serve as acting surgeon general while the search takes place to fill the post, said Dori Salcido, spokeswoman for Health and Human Services.
"I loved serving as #SGReginaBenjamin, putting prevention in all we do. I leave next month confident we created a more healthy & fit nation," Benjamin posted Thursday on her Twitter account.
