Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing, on the other hand, breathes new life into Shakespeare's venerable farce. Filmed in 12 days during a break in the production of Whedon's box-office monster The Avengers, the setting is contemporary and almost all of the lead actors are veterans of Whedon's celebrated film and TV projects, and their warm familiarity draws us into the proceedings with surprising ease.
