US Among 60 Countries Expected to Sign Global Arms Control Treaty
Needs to pass Senate to be ratified
More than 60 countries signed the landmark treaty regulating the multibillion-dollar global arms trade Monday and the United States announced it will sign soon, giving a strong kickoff to the first major international campaign to stem the illicit trade in weapons that fuel conflicts and extremists.

This UN treaty also imposes domestic arms control regulations by stealth. It implements seriously onerous gun control on all Americans and eviscerates the 2nd Amendment.
Yet on March 23, 2013, the US Senate passed a resolution with a vote of 53-46 to "uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." See: http://ezinearticles.com/7663145
