Venezuelan Police Raid Warehouse for Toilet Paper

Police in Venezuela say they have seized nearly 2,500 rolls of toilet paper in an overnight raid of a clandestine warehouse storing scarce goods.

The Thursday announcement on Twitter said that the officers raiding the garage in western Caracas also seized about 400 diapers and 7,000 liters of fruit juice.-

  1. That’s a sure sign a country is pretty far down the crapper when the cops are flushed with pride over seizing 2000 rolls of toilet paper. That’s like, what, one grocery store’s daily sell in the US?

  2. They’re short of fruit juice in Venezuela? That’s like being short of ice in Alaska! I guess it still takes work to pick & squeeza da fruit, just as it does to chop out the ice.
