The school board in Saint-Jerome, Quebec, says staff at a local high school should not have strip searched students [without doing an elbow deep cavity search] to find a missing cellphone.

You know what I do when I can't find my cell phone? I dial it and listen for the ring. But to be fair to the school, I also do that naked.

    1. Agammamon   13 years ago

Well, a *smart* thief would have turned it off.

Of course a *smart* thief would have threatened a lawsuit the instant someone told him to take off his shirt.

Then again a *smart* thief wouldn't have wasted time stealing a phone anyway.

  3. Palin's Buttplug   13 years ago

Donald Trump is dropping $1 million on election research? For the Stupid Party? Just appear on Fox News a lot, go to Bob Jones U, one trip to Israel, and then kiss Fat Rush's ring - you're in.

    1. Agammamon   13 years ago

And to think, in 2012 Gary Johnson wasn't considered a "serious" enough candidate to get to the debates but this bozo was.

      1. Agammamon   13 years ago

Oh and do you *still* think we're Republicans here?

  4. Gordilocks   13 years ago

It is Quebec. Some of the female students might have deep enough bush to hide a 1980's brick cellphone.

it iz ze vay of ze French, no?

"Look! I created a class full of angry teenagers! Libertarianism's future in Quebec is safe!"

    1. some guy   13 years ago

If only. Most of those kids will happily trade a little freedom for a little security once they see those government goodies.

    2. Agammamon   13 years ago

Its Quebec - socialism and state control of everything down to the very language you speak is beaten into them from birth.

"In the heat of the action, the decision seemed the best"

But they did not say if anyone would be disciplined for their actions.

"Dammit! I was counting on a paid vacation for this! I bought plane tickets and everything!"

  8. Drake   13 years ago

Did they find the phone? How did they even know it was missing? I don't get it.
