Gay Pride March Banned in Ukraine
Organizers plan to appeal decision made by court
KIEV, Ukraine, May 24 (UPI) -- A Kiev District Court in Ukraine banned any non-official public events in the capital city Saturday, including a gay pride parade.
The Ukrainian gay community had sought permission to hold an Equality March but the city administration asked the court to ban it because 200 other events were planned for that day, RIA Novosti reported Friday.
