Democrat is facing a primary in the one-party town in June
A majority of the East Orange city council called for longtime Mayor Robert Bowser, who is feverishly seeking reelection, to step down following the latest revelations in a sexual discrimination suit filed by his former employee.
On Tuesday, several council members received voluminous copies of previously undisclosed depositions where Bowser admitted having a sexual relationship with Corletta Hicks, his research assistant at the time.
