South Dakota Shop Owner Gets Eight Years on Sales Tax Violation
"Feed me," says the government
A 36-year-old Rapid City businessman has been sentenced to eight years in prison for failing to pay sales tax.
Attorney General Marty Jackley and Department of Revenue Secretary Andy Gerlach say that Richard W. Guthmiller, the owner and operator of 605 Collision & Custom Paint, filed eight returns between February 2008 and March 2011 stating he owed no sales tax.
